it'S HOWDY DOODY TIME AT THE CITY COUNCIL WITH CON-ARTIST CAMUSO THINKING HE'S PRESIDENT!

"Paul Camuso showed a complete lack of class when he told Dr. Storella to give a summation when THE OTHER COUNCILORS VOTED FOR A SUSPENSION OF THE RULES" quoting a local politician at noon today, January 8.

I, been to a few of the meetings in the pass and its a shame the way some of the council try to make a fool out of the residence that take time and go speak their minds and let the council know how they feel and they don't want to hear what they have to say. That's why I, stopped going because it was like going to the comedy connection, and they want people to go to these meetings for what? Its a waste of our time its just bull------, every week and nothing gets done.

City Council and the City Charter: 2 big Medford problems

http://medford.patch.com/groups/joe-vigliones-blog/p/city-council-and-the-city-charter-2-big-medford-problems

     The fix is in, ladies and gentlemen.  According to a reliable source we were informed that Paul A. Camuso would be anointed the City Council president with Rick Caraviello voted in as Vice President.  Anonymous posters on Patch screamed and yelled when we broke the information, until the weekly paper was forced to go on the story, no doubt because the editor reads Patch and Inside Medford religiously to keep up on the "competition."    Well, turns out it was a package deal. The same reliable source who was 1,000% correct on the Camuso/Caraviello tag team now tells us that in 2014 it is set to be President Freddy Dello Russo Jr. and Vice President Breanna Lungo Koehn.

* * * * *

   So when you saw that PauL A. Camuso had his little name plate all ready for his appointment to a position the voters had no say in, the voters having no say in the $Three $Thousand $or $so $Dollars that would add to Mr. Camuso's already bloated salary as councilor (the most EXPENSIVE in 19 cities north of Boston, according to the Boston Globe), rest assured, Mr. Dello "I like to stare at the Alden Chambers ceiling every council meeting" Russo is polishing his 2015 name plate every day in his bedroom, kissing it...and thinking of all the prestige it will bring him.  Yet last night both Dr. Storella and this writer admonished the council to engage in PUBLIC SERVICE, not SELF SERVICE.

   Mr. Camuso spending more time on having a name plate ready than learning how to control the feedback, how not to drop the gavel repeatedly, and how to turn microphones on for his colleagues, was a public display of what could be likened to a juvenile in a china shop bumping into glassware and not giving a damn that the citizens of Medford pay an extraordinarily high fee for 7 individuals - a majority which claim under this form of government the Mayor has all the say.

     This passing of the buck - and Camuso himself has pointed at the corner office and told constituents to go to McGlynn, not him - not Camuso - is reprehensible, especially with the amount of money Mr. Camuso is set to take home in 2014.  It's an outrage and the residents are already looking at the product that Camuso is not delivering for the monies spent.

    The thought of all the humor that will be generated from Camuso masquerading as Council President is second only to Sarah Palin running for office. It's a field day for a comedian, it is tragic for the citizens of Medford. If the cost is this high for a prankster as a council president.  Oh, we citizens won't settle for just being amused by the antics of a class clown acting like the Government Channel is a 2014 edition of Wayne's World, the citizens are now looking into litigation and the city charter to consider impeachment.  And for those anonymous posters ready to hurl mud bombs in disbelief, there ARE a number of public records requests being readied to see if documents can be provided to alleviate the nonsense; nonsense that a Camuso regime at the City Council has already declared is how he - Captain Ahab- will conduct "business."  Captain Ahab lusts for the corner office, and his obsession will turn to the great white whale, Mayor McGlynn, as Mr. Camuso seeks the position that McGlynn appears ready to hand over to Adam McKnight...if not one of his daughters.

   Yes, people, there is trouble in Paradise as Mr. Camuso allegedly got the news last year from the Mayor that he has other people in mind to replace Mikey when that great appointment comes from whomever is Governor.     The current "city council president" (so hard to say that with a straight face, it's such a mockery of the citizens) thought he was the heir apparent.  Let's look at last night's report card:

1)Paul Camuso doesn't even try to hide his dislike for senior citizens, be they named Pasqual J. Fiorello or Dr. John Storella.    Mr. Camuso has bullied those residents on camera, and last night was no exception.

a)Camuso tried to tell the good doctor that his time had elapsed.  Councilor Marks wisely asked for a suspension of the rules (not only for Dr. Storella, but for this writer come next week, 1/14/14).  All four other councilors had to side with Marks, so Camuso threw in the sixth vote in the affirmative.  Got it so far?  Camuso tried to get rid of an elder person at the People's Forum and was shot down by his colleagues.

b)Then, in a boorish and vulgar move, Camuso attempted to throw Dr. Storella off by interjecting repeatedly (he pulled the same stunt with this writer) and then, while the rules were under suspension, Camuso told Dr. Storella to "sum it up" when - under the suspension of the rules - Dr. Storella could have taken 30 minutes to give a presentation he clearly put money into, a Staples-printed presentation that the citizen invested in to help improve our community.

   With this alleged "presidency" Mr. Camuso no longer has to say "Point of information" to bully a resident from speaking.  Camuso now interjects and disrupts the flow of the conversation in order to censor those with opinions Camuso disagrees with.  It is called censorship and it is anathema to a democracy that has something called the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution.

* * * * *

   I had fifteen or more questions for Mr. Camuso, but with one of the councilors out with pneumonia, it was best to survey the landscape and see how Knight, Lungo-Koehn, Marks and Caraviello were going to behave with an individual that some of us consider highly unqualified to run the evening's business.  Personally, I thought we were going to get the glad-handing, smiling, cherubic City Councilor who always comes over and shakes my hand and tries to play nicey-nice on the other side of the rail.  But we didn't.  We got the Wicked Witch of the West and his broomstick...or gavel, kept falling out of his hand.  Not because he was trying to make some noise.  Because he didn't know how to hold the darn thing.  Like I said - Not Ready for Prime Time.

     POLICE DETAIL AT THE CITY COUNCIL

     Anyone notice at least two, maybe three, police officers on the second floor of city hall last night?  These fine men have better things to do than to be dragged in to City Hall to watch the anointing of Paul Camuso to be president.  What a waste of taxpayer resources.  What a complete waste when we don't even have enough men and women in uniform to take care of the speeding cars on Salem Street, the break-ins, the domestic violence, the mayhem and the robberies in this city.

   Mr. Camuso has twice after a council meeting, once in October of 2006, once in 2013, "met me in the parking lot" of City Hall, so to speak.  It wasn't a pleasant experience and there is documented information on both occurrences.  So now, as Council President, the police are called to Alden Chambers?  For what?  A public records request will seek the documents to find out how this city council is spending the dollars of the residents of Medford.

* * * * *

   The interruptions, the lack of candor.  The citizens need to know where Mr. Camuso got his education.  He said he graduated from Medford High School along with Adam Knight and Breanna Lungo-Koehn.  Perhaps he did, but one can go to another school in the city and then graduate from the High School.  The response, the anger in the eyes of the new "Council president" showed a temperament that was displayed by last year's council president.  Like Roger Daltrey sings in "Wont' Get Fooled Again"    ...Meet the new boss...same as the old boss.

Or as George W. Bush stumbled and mumbled through it:

Fool Me once, shame on you.  Fool me...can't get fooled again

     The citizens - through hard work - removed the Mayor's uncle from the Medford Housing Authority, which led to Bob Covelle's utter shock that he would actually be ousted, and the revelations about Wells Fargo removed a thirty-year incumbent who was council president last year. These were not coincidences, they were the product of some very hard work and honest efforts.

     When a new Council president has to be installed in 2014, it won't be exclusively through my efforts.  Mr. Camuso will be quoting Julius Caesar with his own "Et tu, Brute?" moment.    Will it be from his colleagues on the council, or from Mayor Mike himself?  The logical mind knows McGlynn is a crafty politician and the fiasco on January 7, 2014 won't be tolerated by a slick incumbent who has better things to do than babysit Howdy Doody at the Puppet Playhouse.  Play this song before Camuso takes the seat next week:

   It's Howdy Doody Time with Camuso as Council President, and Sarah Palin is saying to Mike McGlynn "You betcha!"

He probably knows more then you, and the other four or five that write into patch why don't you all act like adults and stop acting like little kids. This is why this city is being run the way it is because of people like you and others. RAYMAY, what are you trying to just say? I, don't know why I, even read all this crazy bull, that these same people write in I, wonder if they know what the hell they are talking about, or do they just write in for attention.
jOAN, if they had any integrity they would show up and interact at Council Meetings. Thanks for stating the obvious. With Camuso as the City Council president it is the Puppet Playhouse and we're all supposed to sing "It's Howdy Doody Time"

To Just a Medford Guy - we're stronger than we ever have been. We knocked out one council president, and he was a lot tougher than the cream puff fumbling at the podium last night. To quote a disgraced TV3 guest from a Friday night show "This is going to be fun!"
