Update on TV3 Webmaster Trial Date

 
Here is the update on the case:

The pretrial conference was scheduled for January 7, 2014 and occurred this morning at 9 AM.  Here are the facts in the case thus far:

1)Attorney for the Commonwealth (from D.A. Marion Ryan's office) met with the public defender for the accused in Room 440 of Woburn Superior Court today.

2)A trial date was set for sometime in August of 2014, scheduled for Room 550 of the criminal court.

3)The defendant has been ordered to STAY AWAY from the victim(s) and to stay away from Arbor Point and Station Landing

4)The defendant claimed INDIGENCY, the court allowing the defendant to file as indigent with proof being that he is on food stamps.

5)The case started in Somerville District court on or about September 4 (the date of arrest appears to also be the date of arraignment.)

A Grand Jury indictment came back on or about November 21, 2013


6)The actual charge is  MGL

Section 14 Deadly weapons, explosives, chemical or biological agents, or other deadly device or substance; threatened use or presence; threat to hijack; disruption of school, public building or transport; punishment; restitution

(c) Whoever willfully communicates or causes to be communicated such a threat thereby causing either the evacuation or serious disruption of a school, school related event, school transportation, or a dwelling, building, place of assembly, facility or public transport, or an aircraft, ship or common carrier, or willfully communicates or causes serious public inconvenience or alarm, shall be punished by imprisonment in the state prison for not less than 3 years nor more than 20 years or imprisonment in the house of correction for not less than 6 months nor more than 21/2 years, or by fine of not less than $1,000 nor more than $50,000, or by both such fine and imprisonment.

Gary Zappelli, 49, of 21 Overlook Ridge Terrace, Revere, was arrested at 11:01 a.m. Wednesday at 100 Main St. on a warrant for a false bomb threat.
