Coney Island Baby
The late Lester Bangs reviewed Coney Island Baby and said "If you were a fag in high school you'd want to play football for the coach too!"

I met Lester in Harvard Square; got him to sign his Blondie book for the co-singer in my band. Lester looked at me and said "We know who you are!" Nice to be "almost famous."
Here's an interesting link on old Lester:
"When I set out to write my biography of Lester Bangs, Quine was one of
the subjects I was most eager to interview. I was a major fan, and by
all accounts, he had been one of Lester's best friends. But tracking him
down proved to be no easy task: Bob valued his privacy, and he prided
himself on his inaccessibility. I finally got his number from someone
who'd worked with him during the recording of Matthew Sweet's Girlfriend.

North Olmsted school teacher on leave for alleged inappropriate behavior
According to the district, an internal investigation is underway and the teacher was immediately placed on leave Wednesday. Parents were notified via email on Thursday.
"I think there's always a concern anytime you get into a situation that involves some inappropriate behavior," said North Olmsted City Schools Superintendent Michael Zalar. "I think the parents of our students that are currently in school do not have anything to worry about."

why can't we get a superintendent like Michael
Zalar who won't sweep the dirt under the rug?

"It's really upsetting," one parent said, asking to remain anonymous. "It's a teacher in our community and our community is pretty tight. You don't expect that to happen here."
