Yes, yes we know, this was a story as seen through the eyes of reporters at our fiercest rival, The Boston Globe. But this is a time to celebrate their triumph, their dedication and their legal fight, which allowed all of us in the news media access to the reams of documents that in turn helped us all report on the horrifying pattern of sexual abuse and cover-up within the Catholic Church.

And so this film shared with the world a story and a burden we no longer have to bear alone.
One of the screenplay’s authors (and film director) Tom McCarthy said it best in accepting the Oscar for that screenplay: “We made this for all the journalists who have and continue to hold the powerful accountable, and for the survivors whose courage and will to overcome is really an inspiration to us all.”

WHY I AM FIGHTING CITY HALL IN THE BATTLE FOR TV3.

WHAT WE ARE UNCOVERING IS THAT THE PREVIOUS MAYOR APPEARED TO BE WORKING IN CONCERT WITH THE DEPRAVED BOARD OF DIRECTORS OF THAT CHARLATAN ACCESS TV STATION.

SO NOW THAT ALL THE LAWSUITS ARE ENDED AND YOURS TRULY WOUND UP WINNING AND SHUTTING THEM DOWN, NOW ROUND II IS WITH THE AUTHORS OF THE CENSORSHIP: CITY HALL ITSELF.

WHAT THEY DID TO MY DEAR FRIEND PAT, MY FRIEND DOREEN, AND OTHERS...AS WELL AS THE ENTIRE CITIZENRY OF MEDFORD, IS REPREHENSIBLE.

THIS IS WHY I FIGHT THE GOOD FIGHT.
