To the City of Medford:
Reasons
why a Class Action suit against Stephanie Muccini-Burke, the City of
Medford, Attorney Mark E. Rumley, School Superintendent Roy E. Belson,
Heidi
Riccio at the Vocational/Technical school, Bob Skerry of the Cable TV
Advisory Committee and the Medford School Committee should be
considered.
1)Access TV announcement from School Committee
MARCH 28, 2016. Heidi Riccio said the station would be open in September, 2016; Muccini-Burke said at that open meeting the station would be open in October of 2016 - however, when I visited Roy Belson in November of 2016 he said the P/E/G station would be ready in "January, 2017." On Wednesday, February 8, 2017 Muccini-Burkie, in her State of the City Address, said "late spring."

2)This is causing IRREPARABLE HARM to Election 2017, just as the lack of access TV caused IRREPARABLE HARM to Election 2015.
This
benefits the Issuing Authority, Muccini-Burke, as she censors her
opposition as surely as her surrogates, Fred Dello Russo, Jr., Paul
Camuso, Bob Maiocco and now Rick Caraviello - in concert with the
suspicious city clerk, Ed Finn, all use sleight of hand to diminish free
speech at the City Council of Medford.
3)It
is a conflict of interest for Mrs. Burke to be "Issuing Authority" and
keep access TV from the citizens of Medford. As I explained at the city
council, on numerous occasions, we can get a van and 2 cameras that
cablecast over the cellphone to have shows on TV3 Comcast and on the
Verizon channel.
4)On
January 31, 2017 I prevailed in Cambridge District Court over the
obscene censorship policies of City Council President Richard F.
Caraviello, his outrageous lies about a cable TV producer Caraviello is
jealous of to silence that producer from political speech - what State
Rep Donato calls "The most protected right," not able to be speaking
freely for a year and 23 days while Caraviello allegedly, with alleged
accomplices, smeared my name and reputation.
The
City Council and Muccini-Burke and her Administration do NOT want
candidates to be on the public access airwaves. They have pulled every
stunt in the book, and now Muccini-Burke wants to LIMIT speech at the
access station by abusing the P/E/G monies for the vocational students
over the access tv cable subscribers and residents.
It begs the question: What is Mrs. Burke doing with the money earmarked for the Educational Channel, and why is the Government Channel money allegedly paying for Jack Dempsey's salary when Dempsey's videos are of such poor quality it looked like the Police Chief and Fire Chief were in a silent movie!

Step 6: Getting a Public Access Channel and/or Studio in a town without one.

- Study the law
- Study the court decisions
- What to do next depends on what you find in your franchise agreement, and what your state law says.
Step 6a: Get the Franchise Agreement
Get
a copy of the current franchise agreement from the city/town clerk.
This is the contract between your cable provider and your town. You may
have to file a FOIL (Freedom of Information Law) request, and they may
charge you for reproduction costs.
Step 6b: Study the law
Burke
told the School Committee that Access would be available in October of
2016; now she's saying "late spring" (that's JUNE, people,) in 2017.
In
addition, public access will be back on the air waves by late spring.
The studio is being constructed at the front of Medford High School. The
students will learn media technology during the day while the public
will have access during the evenings. Who better to tell the stories of
Medford than you, the citizens of our community.
The
citizens of Medford are tired of waiting. It is time to litigate
against the censorship policies of Mark E. Rumley, Stephanie M. Burke
and their Administration
