Jimmy Dimora's neighbor, Steven Tomasone, was accused today of bribing two former Maple Heights school officials in exchange for more than $250,000 in work at the schools.
The charges said Christopher Krause, the former treasurer at Maple Heights schools, and Santina "Sandy" Klimkowski, a former school board member, secretly solicited gifts and payments from Tomasone from 2006 to 2008. He was the owner and president of Southwest Companies Inc., from 2006 to 2008.
In exchange for the bribes and kickbacks, Krause, the district's treasurer at the time, helped Southwest Companies obtain work at the schools, according to the charges. Klimkowski was on the school board from 1981 to 2005, but the indictment said she continued to have influence over business matters through her relationship with Krause.
