So based on the election results, interested to hear your reflections on them and your predictions for the final.
Some of my thoughts/questions –
1. Falco, Marks and Erin are pretty much guaranteed seats.
2. How the heck did Nicole vault from obscurity to #4. She raised $8500 though most of it is from outside Medford.
3. With Castagnetti unsurprisingly eliminated, I would also venture to say that places 11-14 Cugno, Tuden. Collicelli and D’antonio don’t have a prayer of coming in top 7. Do you ever see a scenario or would it be wise for any/all of them to drop out so their supporters can be distributed amongst some of the other top 10 finishers. And where would that support go – the OR candidate dropouts will support the 2 OR in the top 10. Where would Cugno or D’antonio supporters go?
4. Do you think Breen, Nuzzo or Bears (8, 9, 10) have a chance of vaulting over Knight or Scarpelli and winning one or both of their seats?
5. How much different do the results and standing of the general election generally differ from the primary. And assuming a better turn out then ~10% with the 3 races in the general on the ballot, how will that influence the results?

, here are my responses to your thoughts, would like to see others. 1)It was assumed, they are the three most popular with Breanna and Penta not on the ballot; 2)Nicole seems to be a friend of Mayor Burke's - possibly lives behind her at the residence of Mrs and Mr. Brian "S IS for Stephanie" Burke 5 Headland way. 3 Morell's live on 21 Ronaele Road - Suzanne, Bruce and Ertha. Where Nicole is married and has a 508 phone # ...well....Interesting that Nicole Morell was the first person to pull papers and her penmanship makes the address look like Kondele or Konale Road, so I had to look it up...A Google Maps shows that a Morell family lives near the Burke family. #3 - Boy did the Chicken & Rice Guy tank, that surprised me Tuden also seems like he thought it would be assumed that he would get in. I warned Mr. D'Antonio of the "Elton John" axiom, you have to keep your face in the public or they forget about you. It's been years since he ran for mayor. Even when Elton put out bad records, he still did brilliant concerts, and with the bad records still came the full page ads UNI music took out for those albums (Johnny B. Goode, disco, one of the all-time worst records in history, and by one of the world's greatest performers, go figure!) And the public only remembers Elton's great masterpieces, not the errors in judgment. Tony's drop from thousands of votes to so few was a shocker; Mrs. Cugno lost in 2017, this does not bode well for her today. Cugno was not even the most visible on the school committee - Bob Skerry had more visibility and he lost to either Ruggiero or Ruseau so...Van der Kloot, DiBenedetto and even Ruseau have a higher profile than Cugno. Bears is with some faction that can get him some votes, I don't think enough. Nuzzo and Breen are the sleepers, the councilors paid no attention to them and they have supporters. Traditionally when a scare like this happens a Scarpelli and a Knight and certainly Caraviello will realize there's no guarantee. Watch for them to get in the game. Anthony D'Antonio - if he goes knocking on doors and gets on TV, can bring his name back to the public, depends on how bad he wants it. Collicelli with his business contacts (met him at city hall) and resources certainly disappointed.

It's a distinctive enough name Zac Bears, https://zacbears.com/volunteer/ and comes up in Google quickly under Zac Bears (not Isaac B Bears). He seems to be a 2015 graduate of Amherst so how much time he has to take on the system, who knows? https://www.honors.umass.edu/profile/zac-bears Nat Breen and Jean Nuzzo are smart, do not underestimate them. Cugno is supported by Burke, so it looks like Stephanie Burke wants Cugno and Morell to remove either Knight or Scarpelli. As with Morell's ascension, Burke might get her way; a moot point if Breanna Lungo-Koehn wins the election, but Mrs. Burke is sure working hard to set the table.
