Mayor Lungo Koehn Asking Me for Cash After Public Access Fiasco with Duck Boat Driver? Sheesh What "The Work Ahead" ?

  Effective vs Ineffective

At this time we are not endorsing anyone for Medford Mayor.

But "here's the deal," to quote Joe Biden. Lungo Koehn's fumbling and stumbling as Mayor for 3 1/2 years has one thing going for her. She's not Mike McGlynn, She's not Stephanie Muccini-Burke and she's not that charlatan Richard F. Caraviello.

Other than that, her embarrassing failures with hideous ex Chief of Staff Dave "can't keep a job" Rodrigues, Neil "I need some extra cash though I violated the open meeting law" Osborne and others shows a lack of integrity, displays nothing any sane person would call "community" with her unknown insiders and KP Law wreaking havoc on the citizenry...the taxpayers - a clear bit of evidence that Lungo-Koehn is INCAPABLE of any sort of unity.   It is just plain mortifying.

Breanna has pissed so many supporters off it is frightening. She vanquished John Falco, ho hum, and Mike McGlynn in the process. But what a waste of resources, and how sad that Breanna took advantage of those of us who supported her and got her into office. Joseph,

I am proud to call Medford my home and it has been an honor to serve my community as Mayor over the last three and a half years.

Together, we tackled some tough issues from safely reopening our city and schools and supporting our small businesses after the early days of the pandemic  to developing Medford’s first comprehensive multi-year Capital Improvement Plan and launching a community-driven Comprehensive Plan process to create a 30 year vision for our future.

We also secured some big wins for our community:

Supported renovations and expansions of units at our Housing Authority Facilities by allocating hundreds of thousands in grant funding and ARPA funds to offset costs. Finalized a Housing Production Plan and encouraged developers to craft proposals that prioritized affordable housing options..
Put plans in motion to redevelop three municipal lots to revitalize Medford Square and the revitalization of Clippership Park and the Mystic River waterfront.
Laid the groundwork for development projects in Medford like the billion dollar life science park proposal on Mystic Ave and the once in a lifetime opportunity to develop on the air rights over the WellingtonT parking lots.
Authorized hundreds of community projects in our parks and playgrounds to remove 250 tree stumps from our sidewalks and repair over 94 streets this year as part of a bigger sidewalk and pavement assessment to outline a strategy to tackle the backlog of projects.

While we’ve made tremendous progress transforming our City into a more vibrant, accessible and inclusive community, our work is not done.

That is why I am announcing my run for re-election.

You’ve always had my back, and I’ve always had yours.  I look forward to continuing our work together to make Medford a better place. You can join our team by making a donation to support or by signing up to volunteer.

Best,

Breanna Lungo-Koehn
