Dear Mr. Belson, and/or Keeper of the Records
This is a request under the Massachusetts Public Records Law
(M. G. L. Chapter 66, Section 10). I am requesting that I be provided a
copy of the following records:
1)All
documents regarding one, possibly two, Malden students attending the Roberts School or any other school in Medford.
2)Any documents in regards to the city of Malden paying for its citizens' education and travel expenses to Medford
3) a)
documents
providing information on any other non-Medford residents attending Medford schools
for any reason - and
b)documents providing what those reasons are
4)Documents providing information if
a)either
of those children have special needs and if Malden does not have a
program that can accommodate them (though Medford does,) and if it is a
"FAPE - Free and appropriate public education" and worked out between
the districts.
b)
if those children have a dual residence with divorced parents or legal
guardians or something similar, one being in Medford, the other in
Malden or another city or town
I recognize that you may charge reasonable costs for copies,
as well as for personnel time needed to comply with this request. If
you expect costs to exceed $10.00, please provide a detailed fee
estimate.
The Public Records Law requires you to provide me with a
written response within 25 calendar days. If you cannot comply with my
request, you are statutorily required to provide an explanation in
writing.
