Medford Election Results 2019: Breanna Lungo-Koehn Elected Mayor

Longtime city councilor Breanna Lungo-Koehn edged out incumbent Stephanie M. Burke in Tuesday's election.

MEDFORD, MA — Medford elected a new mayor Tuesday, as longtime city councilor Breanna Lungo-Koehn unseated incumbent Stephanie Muccini Burke. The race came down to a difference of 652 votes, with Lungo-Koehn receiving 6,912 and Burke receiving 6,260.
All five city councilors running for re-election – John Falco Jr., George Scarpelli, Adam Knight, Michael Marks and Richard Caraviello – were re-elected, while newcomers Zac Bears and Nicole Morell were sent to the City Council with 5,201 votes and 4,819 votes, respectively.
Four of five School Committee members running for re-election – Kathleen Kreatz, Mea Quinn Mustone, Paul Ruseau and Paulette Van der Kloot – were re-elected. Jenny Graham and Melanie McLaughlin were also elected. Graham received 5,610 votes and Melanie McLaughlin received 5,039 votes.
