The parallels to life in Medford, Massachusetts are chilling, and beg the question: is the city on the verge of implosion and are the members of the ruling elite in Medford - they being Darth Stephanie and Darth Rumley, threatening the dictator's power?
My nephew Mike has done a good job of silencing the masses. But nowadays any crackpot with a camera can focus in on Bob Covelle's shoe-tapping or Uncle Bob's difficulties with his clients and they get shown the door! I'm a prime example of sitting on a board one day and being ostracized because the governor of the Commonwealth listened to some blogger!
North Korea's fractured regime is dissolving quicker than an Alka Seltzer tablet! Let this be a warning to the entrenched elected officials who think they are impervious to a good Patch blog.
Amen.
Author's long-winded note: I personally think what North Korea's Kim Jong Un did to his uncle, Jang Song Thaek, was reprehensible, vile and cruel. What this parody is focusing on is not the extreme horror of what the petty dictator did, but the theories of what caused the rift in the family that controls North Korea. A city councilor or two or three have likened Medford to a dictatorship. Indeed, Mike McGlynn has been in power a lot longer than Kim Jong Un. And the tentacles of the cousins and friends and uncles and aunties reach out beyond the Medford city limits across the Commonwealth and right down into D.C. when a Mayor's daughter works two campaigns for two vice presidential candidates, John Edwards and Joe Biden.
