BREAKING NEWS

A woman is going around gathering information on access television purportedly for the city of Medford.  The city of Medford tells me that there is no 3 person committee in place.

Stay tuned for updates!

Tonight is an important council meeting, even if the agenda is pretty thin.
13-727 -Dr. David Torchiana, CEO and Chairman of Massachusetts General Physicians Organization and Executive Leader of Mass General and Partners HealthCare to address City Council
I trust that all councilors will be in attendance to ask Dr. Torchiana questions about Lawrence Memorial Hospital.  Citizens should come out and discuss this topic as well.  We look forward to the dozens of posters who criticize this good information (criticism from the shadows) to speak up at the city council rather than throw your ice cubes against the wall in anger.* * * * *
   POP QUIZ:
OK, can anyone till us why the Council is meeting on a Wednesday instead of a Tuesday?

SOME THOUGHTS ON POLITICS
Isn't it interesting that a huge number of "comments" and posts are fixated on this writer rather than solutions.  Some people have more "fun" attacking a messenger than attempting to write anything constructive or drafting a real political counterpoint, Patch has these personal attacks proliferate and they don't help Patch (other than advertisers could get fooled into thinking there's a larger audience than actually exists based on the theory that many of the alias posters are the same people with lots of time on their hands)
I appreciate the delete button.  This is what two of the main offenders have done to the community on the now-dissolved non-profit for the better part of 10 years now.    Their real names were submitted to the Patch editors, of course.

Remember the Star Trek episode Mirror Mirror?  In it the "good" Captain Kirk was swapped in exchange for his evil doppelganger http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mirror,_Mirror_%28Star_Trek:_The_Original_Series%29
The "good" Captain Kirk says to Mr. Spock's dark-world counterpart:
KIRK: In every revolution, there's one man with a vision.
and the alternate universe Spock replies:

SPOCK: Captain Kirk, I shall consider it.
In every revolution there is one man with a vision.  This writer has achieved much-needed CHANGE for the city of Medford, and shall continue to do so.  If you're getting flak, you MUST be over the target.  That there are so many swipes taken at an individual that led to the dissolution of the corrupt non-profit in our city, and that three of the individuals whose wrongful conduct led to that entity's demise post here with anger, bitterness, vitriol and personal attacks that go way beyond mere comments, speaks volumes about what really happened at that alleged "non-profit."  Indeed, to the logical mind, Mr. Spock, it would appear might note that there could be even MORE damaging information hidden out there in paperwork (or in allegedly shredded paperwork) if the elected officials in this city get the opportunity to dig deeper.
Another glaring fact is the fixation they have on me.  If my words didn't matter they would shrug them off and go on to reading other stories. If my positions weren't "spot on" as Nell Escobar Coakley at the weekly Transcript told me they were when her office was next to Colleen's, there would be no response.  The anxiety level within those responses is another telling factor.  If I were to put on my Vigmund Freud hat and analyze the hate mail, well, it would bring a waterfall of defensive and quite negative fiction proving Shakespeare right in Hamlet, Act III Scene II  "The lady doth protest too much, methinks."
