WOBURN – Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan has announced that Jenna Tarabelsi, 33, of Waltham, was convicted today by a Middlesex Superior Court Jury of two counts of rape of child. The defendant previously worked as a career counselor at Medford Vocational Technical High School.

Judge Merita Hopkins scheduled sentencing for October 26, 2017.

From April of 2012 to April of 2015, the defendant worked for Medford Vocational Technical High School. During her time with the school the defendant befriended the victim, a 15-year-old male student. In early 2014, the defendant sexually assaulted the victim in a parking lot in Stoneham after school had ended.

Upon learning of the sexual assault in April of 2015, Medford Vocational Technical High School immediately suspended the defendant. Medford Vocational School fully cooperated in this investigation. *

(Editor's note: *Allegations are that this was a "political hire" allegedly as a favor to Arlington Catholic High School. How do they say that Medford Vocational School "fully cooperated" if the D.A.'s office didn't have those allegations to consider? That there were alleged RUMORS of alleged misconduct at A.C.H. prior to the hiring in Medford!  Allegedly!!!!)

The prosecutor assigned to this case was Assistant District Attorney Tom Brant. The Victim Witness Advocate was Cheri MacDonald.
