ELECTION 2015: Mario Martin will not request recount in Sept. 1 prelim - whatever happened to Chamberlain and McSweeney as well...

Just a tad over 13 percent of Medford’s registered voters took part in the Sept. 1 preliminary election for the Medford City Council to eliminate two names from a field of 16 candidates.

Brian Chamberlain and Mario Martin were struck from the Nov. 3 election after finishing at the bottom of the list in the preliminary election.

Chamberlain finished in last place with 346 votes, while Martin came in 15^th place with 387 votes – one behind Neal McSweeney, the final candidate to qualify for the regular election.
