allegedly facing CHARGES OF CLASS D CONTROLLED SUBSTANCE POSSESSION WHEN HE ALLEGEDLY REAR-ENDED A CAR KILLING A 47 YEAR OLD WOMAN.
We pray for the spirit of that woman and we give Mr. Donato Jr. the benefit of the doubt.
But that tragic incident RE-EMPHASIZES the poor judgment of the Medford Police Chief who needs to resign.

Sources told 5 Investigates the Transit Police officer, Joe Sacco, was allegedly drunk behind the wheel. A Fallon ambulance crew spotted him driving erratically and called 911, the sources said, and Sacco pulled over by the Bunker Hill Community College T stop before state police arrived.At the time of the incident, the transit cop was off duty, in his personal vehicle, and with his department-issued gun. Sacco is a veteran, the secretary of the Transit Police Officers Association the son of Medford Police Chief Leo Sacco.

Hull woman dies in car-pickup crash on Pike
A 47-year-old Hull woman died yesterday shortly after her car inexplicably stopped in a travel lane on the Massachusetts Turnpike and was rear-ended by a pickup.The 37-year-old driver of the truck, Paul Donato Jr., son of state Representative Paul J. Donato of Medford, is facing charges for driving with an out-of-class license and possession of a Class D controlled substance.
The woman's cause of death was unknown pending an autopsy, and authorities have not ruled out that she was medically incapacitated prior to being hit.
Corcoran's father, Michael Corcoran of Braintree, said he believes, based on what troopers told him at the hospital, that her car may have broken down or run out of gas.
