The popular online magazine that gets results!
One Million, One Hundred and Ninety Seven, One Hundred and Twenty Nine Page Views is all you need to know.  People stay IN THE KNOW by reading Medford and Somerville Info Central

The editor has witnessed at least one parent from Medford bringing a child to SMC.

Medford parents - check out ANY Facility and the people employed there before walking away from your kid in a place where some creepy things allegedly take place!

The perfect prey, n'est ce pas???

https://www.somervillemedia.org/youth-media/
We also strive to be a safer space for youth, and actively wish to recruit LGBTQ+ youth, youth of color, low-income youth, and youth with disabilities. We run year round youth programming, including after school programs, vacation camp, and summer programs.

Our investigation led to the new rule to prevent OPEN CONTAINERS OF ALCOHOL by a board member from being at the station EVER AGAIN.

Just as bad, the woman called "the flake" (not my term for the board member; someone in a position of authority's name for her) put the alleged open container of beer near the computer.  Like an inch away from the expensive property that belongs to the station and its members.

Then there's the lecherous old jerk of a board member who allegedly wants to have sex with the mayor of Somerville, unless that was a ruse and the old creep was - perhaps - hitting on me.
UGGGH....don't know what is uglier, his grating personality or his creepy looks!   But those are the individuals steering the ship at Somerville Media Center, and they prey upon parents who send their kids to the studio thinking it is an alcohol free zone, and that some old perv allegedly isn't talking about sex with the mayor to another gay male the old creep was probably hitting on

You want your kids there?  Good luck!

ARE THE KIDS SAFE AT
SOMERVILLE MEDIA CENTER???

---after a former board member reported open containers of beer in the editing suite, SMC changed the rules and FORBID beer at the facility.

They also told the former board member, who was then an advisor to the board, that he complained too much!

Doing the right thing is never complaining too much.

Then you get Heather Mack griping on her Facebook page about the children.

Unbelievable

Heather Mack  April 6

This is what happens when you let me run an after school program. You get kids ranting about the moon being a hoax, grave robbing bandwagoners, and the end of the world while hosting a fake "Jesus Hotline". Can't make this stuff up folks... #proud #youthwork #originalcontent #genius #praisehim
Maybe if Ms. Mack and Brian Zipp did their jobs there wouldn't be the alleged open containers (plural) of beer around little children that parents TRUST to have in a safe environment at Somerville Media Center.

Board members of Somerville Media Center were reported last week to certain people in positions of authority.   Allegedly, a lecherous old board member was making sexually charged comments about what he'd like to do with Mayor Joseph Curtatone's backside; Allegedly a board member had open beer in an editing suite NEXT TO THE COMPUTER while little children were running around in the studio.

Then you've got the Youth Coordinator with her alleged construction-worker mouth, alleged inappropriate comments on her "free speech radio" show Fresh Greenz, and her loud mouth in the studio like "social media" person (more like social butterfly) Erica Jones on steroids.

Between Erica Jones and Heather Mack and the lady with the vacuum cleaner, DJ's like Alan James Patterson have to battle extreme noises outside the studio, and if they complain they'll get put on probation.

Whatever Happened to Personal Responsibility?

Heather Mack is the Youth Coordinator at Somerville Media Center
It is the "free speech" opinion of this writer that the failure to keep a safe space for your children poses a threat to public safety.
Alleged old lecherous man talking about sexually charged desires, on the board of directors, not giving a damn that parents pay good money to put their kids in the allegedly risky environment.

A board member some individuals in a position of authority call "a flake" allegedly drinking beer and playing the "women card," lying about a volunteer to cover up for her personal misdeeds.

That is NOT the kind of environment where you want to pay money to put your kids, in the free speech opinion of this person who has witnessed the hostile environment when conflicted board members put their own shows above the mandate: the facilitation of programming for the members, not the board, not social butterfly Erica and the staff members who feel it is their personal sandbox, very much like Medford Community Cablevision, Inc., which this writer shut down in a very loud and very public battle.

One Detective who retired said in a phone call "You won. You won, and the community is better off for it."

Yes indeed, I did the job the police were supposed to do when those reprobates were causing mayhem in Medford, being enabled by former Mayor Michael J. McGlynn.

This writer gets results.

Are your children safe at Somerville Media Center?  Not from what I have witnessed.

You can thank me, parents, for no alcohol at the station after my complaint.

Dave Ortega is one of the good guys.
A vast improvement over the crony that held the job before him.  Another of the #MeFirst cronies at SMC in this era of the #MeToo movement.
