3 Councilors reported to the D.A.  - City Clerk reported to the Medford police

RESPONSE TO D'ANTONIO ARTICLE

http://medfordinformationcentral.blogspot.com/2015/06/dantonio.html

June 23, 2015

Dear D.A. Ryan and former candidate D'Antonio:

Three city councilors interfere in free speech,
Frederick Dello Russo Jr., Paul A. Camuso and Adam Knight.
They interject, Camuso in particular harasses citizens and elected officials over 60 in an obnoxious and ill-mannered way in order to stifle free speech rights.

Last week a City Clerk viciously attacked this writer when I was merely asking why cameras weren't on Councilor Caraviello and Councilor Penta while they were speaking.
Clerk Edward P. Finn flipped out and harassed me, a vicious assault on the person of a man over sixty years of age.

It was ugly, it is not what we expect from public servants, but it is exactly what McGlynn's forces do to attempt to silence the public.

State Rep Paul Donato calls political speech "the most protected right," yet that was when a TV3 board member censored Donato (in violation of the Internal Revenue Code barring a director of a 501c3 from such actions!)...

...why didn't Donato go after MCC TV3 for violating that code?

Why didn't Rep Donato flip out when his constituents were harassed and silenced???  Why would Donato go on a show with the major bully, Frank Pilleri, president of TV3, and engage in bullying himself?

Pursuant to MGL 265, Section 37 - Violations of constitutional rights; punishment, the following instances of inappropriate - and possibly illegal censorship by Councilor Paul A. Camuso (employee of Sheriff Koutoujian, who should be held to a higher standard,) Councilor Adam Knight and Council President Fred Dello Russo, Jr. should be investigated by your office

My request is that you hold Dello Russo, Camuso and Knight accountable if they try to interfere in our First Amendment rights tonight.  They haven't lifted a finger for their constituents with the $92,000.00 or so the three have received, voting for their own pay raises while Knight was only in office for three weeks. It shows their absolute lack of character and their selfish motives.

It will not be tolerated in a Democratic society.

So help me God

Joe Viglione

District Attorney Marian Ryan
Office of the Middlesex District Attorney
15 Commonwealth Avenue
Woburn, MA 01801
Main Phone:(781) 897-8300

Dear D.A. Marian Ryan:

On Tuesday, April 28, 2015, Medford City Councilor
Adam Knight and Council President Frederick N. Dello Russo, Jr. engaged in censorship again.

Exhibit A (below) notes that the Los Angeles prosecutors looked into a complaint that the Mayor hits the mute button to stop speakers if he doesn't like what they are saying.

1)On or about April 28, 2015 Council President
Fred Dello Russo Jr. forced me to conclude my
speech while the RULES WERE UNDER SUSPENSION when
rookie Councilor Adam Knight said the rules were
not being followed.

Under suspension are there rules?  My speech was
alerting the public to their rights.  What is Knight
afraid of?  What is Dello Russo afraid of?  Please
investigate and punish to the full extent of the law
if you find that they have violated my rights.

2)In January of 2014 then-Council President Paul
A. Camuso completely abused his authority and shut
my speech down when I asked about the obscene pay
raise that Camuso, Knight, Dello Russo and Rick
Caraviello voted themselves.

They voted for their own pay raise (Knight was only a
councilor for three weeks,) and they REFUSED to hear
any complaints from the public on their sneaky, sneaky money grab.

3)Camuso has harassed me outside of the council on
two occasions, both situations in reports or emails filed with the police department (police chief Sacco cc:'d above,_ and has antagonized me on many occasions, abusing his authority as a public servant, publicly calling me a liar, telling people to see "the judge's report" (actually, facing about seven lawsuits from the  allegedly corrupt and now dissolving cable TV station, the cases show what a disgrace those activities were, including my victory proving that TV3 engaged in Anti-Slapp violations.)

For the past few elections there has been no public
access TV.  Your office and the A.G.'s office have been torturously slow in finding a remedy to this situation.

Mayor McGlynn asked for proposals to build a new tv station. He only received one.  From me.  Rather than respond the coward of a lame-duck Mayor has, instead, put "Access tv on hold" according to the procurement office in a phone conversation with me on April 27.

The powerful 28 year incumbent has grossly offended the citizens of Medford with his "Medford Media Blackout."  Your office is aware of this misconduct as former D.A. Gerry Leone set up a meeting for me with Doug Nagengast and cc:'d Michael Pelgro and Nicole Allain, who are in the bcc.

Your office has an obligation to investigate the harassment and censorship exacted on citizens and other council members by the vicious Adam Knight, vindictive Paul Camuso and drunk-with-power Fred Dello Russo, Jr., who looks half asleep at the council and forgets to put the mic on when speakers are waiting.

When citizens showed up to discuss heroin abuse the councilors referenced above engaged in a stunt where they call out "point of information" so many times that citizens who wanted to speak had to leave.

The Council Chambers are empty week after week because residents see how Camuso, Knight and Dello Russo have abused fellow councilors and how they abuse me with a relish that is chilling and wrong.

Do we have to sue the city of Medford to get some relief, or will your office FINALLY do the right thing and flex your muscles.  The police chief is a nice guy, but he's so tangled up in McGlynn's puppet strings, as are the budget director and city solicitor, that it is truly the land of Tony Soprano, not a city in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

If your office is too afraid to take on McGlynn then I will have to continue to fight the good fight for residents.

It's a disgrace.   Your office needs to investigate the censorship policies of Michael J. McGlynn and how they are carried out by Dello Russo, Knight, Camuso, Rumley and anyone too cowardly to put the Mayor in his place.

Please help us.

Thank you for reading this.

 Sincerely,

Joe Viglione

Check this out, I sent it to Police Chief Leo Sacco:

Here's City Solicitor Rumley putting his foot in his mouth
and becoming a public embarrassment with this lie to a
retired judge, Marie O. Jackson-Thompson:

City Solicitor Mark E. Rumley / Medford Daily Mercury
on or about Nov. 16, 2008 (quoted from the 2nd Judge Jackson-Thompson hearing) saying:

“The one sentiment that I have heard that I take great exception to is that the city is trying to limit speech,” said Rumley. “The notion the city would censor or squelch free speech is baseless and as city solicitor I would find any such effort repugnant.”
