At 7 pm on Tuesday night I was at the screening of Joker. Simultaneous with the new ultra-violent film, the Medford City Council had performances by Police Chief Buckley and Mark E. Rumley, the city lawyer. This link should get you there https://medford.vod.castus.tv/vod/…

It's
extremely difficult to review a dark, dark film like Joker and then
review the debacle of Solicitor Rumley and Chief Buckley at the city
council on October 1. Why? Because Joker is pure fiction while
Buckley and Rumley, on video, are busy spinning fiction, when the public
safety of the people is involved. That this impacts our lives
immediately makes their reticence to be upfront and honest scarier than
Joker/Arthur (actor Joaquin Phoenix) murdering people in cold blood.
Scary
times for the residents of Medford, despite ex Chief Sacco's rhetoric
on 10/17/17 to the contrary, at the same city council.

Mayoral
candidate and council vice president Breanna Lungo-Koehn notes: "There
are a lot of people that are questioning the trust of the city with
regards to this matter and others...they're too afraid to speak up. This
is our police department, the department that keeps us safe...people
are reaching out to us."
Frederick N. Dello Russo, Jr. should be ashamed of himself. Watch the video: Dello Russo said that the public tells him "That this is behind us."
In direct conflict with Breanna Lungo-Koehn's testimony on the public
record that her constituents have a different perspective, and that they
are afraid.
Dello
Russo sounds like Rudy Giuliani walking lockstep with the spin machine
without knowing the facts. The sooner Dello Russo leaves the city
council, the better off Medford will be.
"To build that trust back...People are concerned" Breanna Lungo-Koehn 1:15:25 in on the tape which started at 44:05
1:15:28 Chief Buckley "Just quickly, I'd like to respond."
1:15:35
Chief Buckley: "Trust. I committed ...to work on the public trust
(like when Paul Covino and Detective Mackowski went after an innocent
man who was viciously attacked by City Clerk Ed Finn, Mr. Buckley?) when
I became Chief of Police. In a very large way I think this reinforces
some of the trust. And we're capable of policing the police (I certainly
am, Chief Buckley, and note that Breanna Lungo-Koehn made it clear that
the public is afraid of retaliation by the police. Read her quote
again!) "Capable of addressing problems. We're also capable of moving
forward."
AT THIS POINT A
MEDFORD RESIDENT PHONES ME, NOT KNOWING I'VE BEEN IMMERSED IN REVIEWING
THIS TAPE, AND SAYS TO ME ALL CREDIBILITY CHIEF BUCKLEY HAS IS NOW LOST.
WOW. THAT'S NOT ME TALKING, THAT'S A MEMBER OF THE PUBLIC NOT DRINKING THE DELLO RUSSO KOOL-AID.
WHEN I BROUGHT UP DELLO RUSSO'S NAME IN THE CONVERSATION, WELL, I DON'T THINK I CAN PRINT WHAT THE
RESIDENT SAID ABOUT FREDDY JR. JR., LET'S LEAVE IT AT THAT.
1:16:11 ON THE VIDEO: CHIEF BUCKLEY: 'I've Received Overwhelming Support for the Way it's Been Handled"
Guess you haven't talked to any of our thousands of readers, Chief, you should hear what they are saying on my phone line! HA!
1:16 21: Nobody has expressed that they are in fear of this police department."
FIRE
THE CHIEF NOW. I have my concerns about the cops; a former council
candidate said "Don't trust the Medford police" - and the kid that the
SWAT team descended on was terrified of the Medford police. Just don't
let the facts get in the way of the truth, Buckley.
How about
the Woburn guy dragged out on his lawn, allegedly, beaten to a pulp,
allegedly by Stephen LeBert and his uncle. You think they aren't afraid
of getting beaten by thugs. You are so wrong, Chief Buckley.
Buckley:
"There's no reason to be" (afraid of the police). Yeah, ADA Raquel
Frisadi and corrupt councilor Caraviello can attest to that!
Not
when Chief Sacco threatened me with "The police service you deserve" as
his son was allegedly drunk driving. Maybe there's no reason to be
afraid of the cops because Greg Hudson only allegedly strangled his wife
and not the prostitutes he was allegedly looking to score!
"The police department is sound. We have good women and men. No one has to fear the police department." CHIEF BUCKLEY NOT HOLDING HIMSELF ACCOUNTABLE.
44:05 to 1:18:15 = thirty four minutes and ten seconds....
WATCH THE TAPE - WATCH FALCO NOT WANT TO BE ENGAGED IN THIS, STUTTERING AND LOOKING LIKE THE
DEER IN THE HEADLIGHTS THAT HE IS.
FALCO
STUTTERS OVER POLICE ISSUE...TOTALLY NERVOUS AND NOT HIMSELF...STUNNING
VIDEO 44:05 Suspension of the Rules at the October 1 City Council
meeting. Police Scandal brought up by Breanna Lungo Koehn, with police
chief in audience, what's taken place in the news last week. John Falco
spoke with city solicitor and calls it a "personnel issue" - LOOK HOW
NERVOUS FALCO IS: Falco "Um, thank you vice president Lungo-Koehn, uh,
in my uh talks with, uhm, the city solicitor, uhm,This uhm is a
personnel issue so there's...there's ...not...we can't say anything
about this, uhhh so...uh...it is a personnel issue, uh, so (Falco now
looks befuddled, caught off guard and not being honest with the citizens
of Medford!) OK, one at a time, Councilor Dello Russo (You can see
Falco couldn't wait to throw the hot potato Dello Russo covers up for
the mayor and chief of police "Mr. President this is a personnel issue,
uh, there's been no, uh, opportunity for the aggrieved parties to make
themselves present...blah blah blah...uh according to the press release
that we've received...I'm opposed uh duh uh uh it's inappropriate for
us..." uh uh uh Councilor Caraviello has rescinded his motion...Breanna
moves to go into Executive Session....calls, text messages, e mails over
the past week...assure people.... WE DO WANT TO BUILD THE PUBLIC'S
TRUST...Breanna sounds good here, she'd better be this sharp at the
debate. Councilor Knight doesn't give a damn about the public trust -
listen to this: "I believe that, uh, we're treading very dangerously
towards an open meeting law violation Mr. President (for executive
session that the public cannot attend? IN what universe?) For that
reason and that reason alone I'm opposed to going into executive session
without the proper posting requirements and without the advice of
counsel." Falco chirps in thanking his lucky stars a Trumpian crazy out
off the hot seat when you can suspend the rules and discuss, especially
with the police chief in attendance. How many other issues have we
discussed - the council meeting itself might be an umbrella where "the
People's Forum" as Bob Maiocco likes to call it can have some free
expression. Falco is "i,...i...i..would agree as well, there's nothing
on the agenda tonight to talk about this issue." Knight "this is a
personnel issue" DUH, avoiding their DUTIES as an elected body...Dello
Russo said that the public tells him "That this is behind us." Dello
Russo is NOT INTERESTED ...and he finds the matter out of order. Marks
wasn't one of the lucky ones receiving a call from city hall about this.
Marks hits them hard for going lockstep with the administration. "I
think it's only appropriate where the administration is moving forward
that we know what took place!..." Marks hasn't received ANY information
from the city on this. "According to the chief and the mayor they said
they have something in place..." Marks is right about his obligation to
this community. He sees no problem going in to Executive Session.
Scarpelli talked to the City Solicitor but at least wants it on the
agenda... https://medford.vod.castus.tv/vod/… I
phoned The Division of Open Government @ 12:30 pm and asked the
question about Open Meeting Law and Executive session. Let's see.
