COP SCANDAL - MAYOR HAS 5 SLEAZY COUNCILORS SAY NO! The Division of Open Government 12:30 pm question about Open Meeting Law and Executive session

Rumley calls it "A prudent inquiry"
The District Attorney is Looking At It.

I'm actually interested in what Rumley has to say...

RUMLEY says NAMES WILL NOT BE IDENTIFIED

MARKS NOTES THAT BY NOT BEING INCLUDED IN GETTING INFORMATION FROM CITY HALL IT'S AN 'INJUSTICE"

RUMLEY SAYS 'VERY WELL"

FALCO STUTTERS OVER POLICE ISSUE...TOTALLY NERVOUS AND NOT

HIMSELF...STUNNING VIDEO 44:05

FALCO STUTTERS OVER POLICE ISSUE...TOTALLY NERVOUS AND NOT HIMSELF...STUNNING VIDEO 44:05 Suspension of the Rules at the October 1 City Council meeting. Police Scandal brought up by Breanna Lungo Koehn, with police chief in audience, what's taken place in the news last week. John Falco spoke with city solicitor and calls it a "personnel issue" - LOOK HOW NERVOUS FALCO IS: Falco "Um, thank you vice president Lungo-Koehn, uh, in my uh talks with, uhm, the city solicitor, uhm,This uhm is a personnel issue so there's...there's ...not...we can't say anything about this, uhhh so...uh...it is a personnel issue, uh, so (Falco now looks befuddled, caught off guard and not being honest with the citizens of Medford!) OK, one at a time, Councilor Dello Russo (You can see Falco couldn't wait to throw the hot potato Dello Russo covers up for the mayor and chief of police "Mr. President this is a personnel issue, uh, there's been no, uh, opportunity for the aggrieved parties to make themselves present...blah blah blah...uh according to the press release that we've received...I'm opposed uh duh uh uh it's inappropriate for us..." uh uh uh Councilor Caraviello has rescinded his motion...Breanna moves to go into Executive Session....calls, text messages, e mails over the past week...assure people.... WE DO WANT TO BUILD THE PUBLIC'S TRUST...Breanna sounds good here, she'd better be this sharp at the debate. HERE'S THE CRAZY THING - SUSPENSION OF THE RULES IN AND OF ITSELF MIGHT BE A VIOLATION OF THE OPEN MEETING LAW. THE PUBLIC CAN BRING UP ANY SUBJECT, BUT NOT COUNCILORS, ACCORDING TO MY UNDERSTANDING OF THE OPEN MEETING LAW Councilor Knight doesn't give a damn about the public trust - listen to this: "I believe that, uh, we're treading very dangerously towards an open meeting law violation Mr. President (for executive session that the public cannot attend? IN what universe SINCE the entire discussion may be an Open Meeting Law violation...so you're a little pregnant already, Adam, why not go for the full Monty ?) For that reason and that reason alone I'm opposed to going into executive session without the proper posting requirements and without the advice of counsel." Falco chirps in thanking his lucky stars a Trumpian crazy out off the hot seat when you can suspend the rules and discuss, especially with the police chief in attendance. How many other issues have we discussed - the council meeting itself might be an umbrella where "the People's Forum" as Bob Maiocco likes to call it can have some free expression in Medford, according to Medford's rules. But not listing items on the agenda that the council may be discussing could mean that the council, possibly has violated the open meeting law for decades! I'm not a lawyer. Look into it!) Falco is "i,...i...i..would agree as well, there's nothing on the agenda tonight to talk about this issue." Knight "this is a personnel issue" DUH, avoiding their DUTIES as an elected body...Dello Russo said that the public tells him "That this is behind us." Dello Russo is NOT INTERESTED ...and he finds the matter out of order. Marks wasn't one of the lucky ones receiving a call from city hall about this. Marks hits them hard for going lockstep with the administration. "I think it's only appropriate where the administration is moving forward that we know what took place!..." Marks hasn't received ANY information from the city on this. "According to the chief and the mayor they said they have something in place..." Marks is right about his obligation to this community. He sees no problem going in to Executive Session. Scarpelli talked to the City Solicitor but at least wants it on the agenda... https://medford.vod.castus.tv/vod/?video=ad36999b-1aab-473a-a0d8-72a7ad38c227 I phoned The Division of Open Government @ 12:30 pm and asked the question about Open Meeting Law and Executive session. Let's see.
