RE: Petition 20-099
Greetings:
I
thank the city clerk for properly filing my petition. A previous clerk
would censor my petitions weekly, as well as those of another senior
citizen, and possibly others. To communicate the petitioner's thoughts
properly is most refreshing and upholds the Constitution.
I
trust that with a new city clerk since the last time that I spoke in
Alden, Council President Falco will demand the city council adhere to
Robert's Rules of Order and the City Council Rules.
My
ten minute speech is essential and is focused on the millions and
millions of dollars cable TV subscribers have paid since October 6 and
October 13, 1983 when Medford Community Cablevision, Inc. was
incorporated (see attachment.) That's 37 years of cable television
bills with little to show for it.
Stoneham
and Winthrop P/E/G TV have purchased their own buildings, Medford
Community Cablevision, Inc. squandered over one hundred thousand dollars
on frivolous lawsuits to keep the public out (and they were found in
violation of the anti-SLAPP laws in place to halt such malicious abuse
of process.) We have no building those monies could have purchased, no
center for the arts, and Mike McGlynn as well as certain members of this
current city council did nothing to stop the reckless, foolish waste of
city monies.

I
caution both the clerk and council president that immature behavior by
Adam Knight and Richard F. Caraviello will not be tolerated.
1)If
Mr. Knight wants to tear paper up into the microphone as he did when a
woman was giving rich Medford history to the council,
I will request a "no confidence" vote against Mr. Knight and take
appropriate action with the mayor and other government oversight.
2)If
Knight and Caraviello wish to walk out, turn their backs, ridicule or
harass a senior citizen as they have in the past (prior to one
council meeting Caraviello yelled out that he's the "Biggest S.O.B." in
Medford) the action from the council president and clerk should be
swift, harsh and very public. That kind of buffoonery is worthy of
sanctions.
Slamming of
doors as Mr. Dello Russo had a penchant for when a former councilor
would often speak is both immature and a dereliction of duty. Especially
at approximately $30,000.00 a year paid to councilors, one of the
largest payouts in the Commonwealth for a job, I believe, should be on a
volunteer basis. Then again, the council votes on its pay structure,
not the voters.
3)Neil
Osborne is in this correspondence as a recipient. I had filed on behalf
of senior citizens being harassed at the council by
Knight,
Dello Russo and Caraviello a couple of years back. This kind of
blatant discrimination and failure to perform is disrespectful to the
body and to Alden Chambers. Mr. Caraviello exiting during a critical
vote for Pay to Park, or council members upping and leaving because they
hate someone is the essence of "compensation fraud." Mr. Osborne is on
notice that should Knight and Caraviello resort to their juvenile and
inappropriate conduct, it will be incumbent upon the Director of
Diversity and Inclusion to file a formal complaint with the mayor and
draft a petition for sanctions against any council member not doing the
job they are paid to perform.
If we do apply sanctions, I will ask that the council put Mr.
Caraviello under oath and ask if he actually did have a client when he
ran out the door rather than vote on a "pay to park" public access
video. On 1/31/17 Mr. Caraviello in criminal court was asked if he
ever moonlighted on the city council. Caraviello said "no" under oath
in criminal court. Do the math: Caraviello told this videographer he
couldn't vote as he had to pick up a client for his limo service, yet in
criminal court Caraviello said he didn't moonlight. Did he lie to a
citizen or did he lie to judge and jury? One thing is certain,
Caraviello was caught on camera leaving council chambers prior to a
critical vote, so that, in the opinion of this journalist, is absolute
compensation fraud. Taking money but not doing his job and taking a
vote.
How is that any different from a police officer doing only part of a detail and skipping out on the rest?
At least Caraviello showed up for criminal court. Former city clerk Ed Finn was under subpoena and failed to appear.
Rule 45(g). Contempt
(g)
Contempt Failure by any person without adequate excuse to obey a
subpoena served upon him may be deemed a contempt of the court in which
the action is pending.
Just add another reprehensible act by the disgraced former city clerk.
Mr.
Finn must have realized that he was thrown under the bus by the Medford
Police because they couldn't have filed a case of "witness
intimidation" if no crime had occurred. The former city clerk physically
and verbally assaulted me and by resurrecting a case that was closed
they made an admission that Finn had actually assaulted a senior
citizen. Had Finn shown up in court, consider what justice Michelle
Hogan's options could have been?
Keep
in mind, Finn's assault was on or about June 16, 2015; five years prior
to that, April of 2010, I was assaulted at another council meeting when
Adam Knight's good friend Matthew Page Lieberman threw a punch at me
during a council meeting in front of the office of the city solicitor.
Front page news ten years ago next month. Lieberman's issue was brought
up to retired judge Diane Kottmyer in Middlesex Superior Court
resulting in Page-Lieberman being removed from the MCC TV3 board of
directors.
The Medford police determined that the sole victim was Joe Viglione. See Medford Transcript for further details.
________________________________________________________________________
I chronicle this information to show the animosity some councilors have towards public speaking. In the cases of Knight and
Caraviello,
their mutual envy of a public speaker who is a bit more skilled in that
arena than two councilors paid 60k annually.
_____________________________________________________________________________________________
In
conclusion I expect the council to take this petition as seriously as
they want to be taken. It's about millions and millions of dollars of
monies from Medford cable ratepayers. Any disturbance by a councilor or
an agent of a councilor should result in an additional five minutes of
speech time for this petitioner. That includes phony interruptions
disguised as a "point of information."
Time
has been invested in this correspondence as my speech is of great
public interest. City Councilors should not deprive the cable
subscribers of the right to this knowledge by abusing Robert's Rules of
Order and the City Council rules.
I
reserve the right to utilize my cellphone to videotape any unruly
behavior by Mr. Caraviello, Mr. Knight or any other councilor who
chooses to not do his or her job and, instead, would rather give this
council yet another black eye.
Respectfully,
