Did Dillon know too much about the alleged Jimmy DiPaola pay-to-play scandal? Was he silenced? "Accidentally" shot himself in the head while plowing into a tree when his colleagues gave him money to buy coffee?
Neat trick if you can do it. Did they get their money back?
*are they sure he wasn't driving a helicopter to get the coffee and decided to stab himself and slam into the tree...the original story is so preposterous...and then it goes from "accidentally" shot himself to a suicide. Right. Creepy is what it is, very creepy, given the history of pay-to-play alleged at Billerica House of Correction, and food allegedly being sold to a local restaurant ...all sorts of creepy stories about that joint!

BILLERICA - The corrections officer who drove a Middlesex Sheriff's Department cruiser into a tree off Treble Cove Road on Wednesday morning may have accidently shot himself in the head, The Sun has learned.
Minutes earlier, Edward "Teddy" Dillon III had collected money from his co-workers and was planning to pick up coffee for them, The Sun learned.

Dillon, whose father currently works at the jail as the facility's head electrician, is part of a family that has been actively involved in Greater Lowell's fire and law enforcement community. One of his dad's brothers, Gary Dillon, is a lieutenant for the Lowell Fire Department while another brother is a Lowell Police detective.

The Middlesex County District Attorney's office said the death was "not suspicious" and there was no evidence of foul play. ....yeah, the organization that took the editor of this publication to criminal court on false charges...and lost.

Maintenance employee grievance
The board delayed holding an executive session to discuss a grievance filed by former maintenance employee James O’Brien.
O’Brien was let go in May after it was revealed that he and four other maintenance employees never received background checks before being hired.
A CORI check later revealed O’Brien, who held a master key to each apartment unit, was classified as a Level 1 sex offender.
Young said the board plans to meet July 19 to discuss the matter in a closed-door session.

William "Bill" Emerson, 67, of 222 Stackpole St., Lowell, was arraigned yesterday in Lowell District Court on three counts of delivering drugs to prisoners at the House of Correction in Billerica.
Judge Sabita Singh released Emerson on personal recognizance with a warning to stay away from the Middlesex Sheriff's Office.
His next court date is July 14 for a pretrial conference.
