But what is disturbing is that the Transcript takes the propaganda from city hall, city hall that pays tens of thousands in advertising monies to the Transcript, and leaves the citizens in the dark.

Burke has appointed former Weymouth Board of Health Director Rich Moreno to replace Rose on an interim basis.
Moreno, a Medford resident, will serve as acting board of health director until the city hires a permanent replacement. Burke said Moreno would spend part of next week shadowing Rose before she leaves May 6.
Miller’s duties, meanwhile, will be filled temporarily by Patricia Velie, director of finance and administration for Medford Public Schools.
Burke said Velie is has state certification as a procurement officer, allowing her to sign purchasing documents for the city while it searches for Miller’s permanent replacement.
