Dear Louise:
Congratulations on your new job outside of Medford City Hall.
Prior to the 2015 election I submitted a proposal for access TV - the only proposal received by city hall, with a firm notice that the only way the new access station could operate is by removing the mayor's title of "issuing authority"
and giving that job to another body, possibly the city council.
The problem is this: with Republic Parking being discussed in room 207 in September of 2014 and this tv producer/host taping an hour of the event, three members of the city council voted against cablecasting that important video:
Adam Knight, Fred Dello Russo, Jr. and Paul A. Camuso
All three of those councilors have engaged in censorship tactics, voted for Republic Parking, and are loyal lieutenants of the previous and current individuals who happened to have hijacked Medford City Hall from the citizenry.
Each of the two mayors have had those three dangling from puppet strings.
If Mike McGlynn didn't loathe citizens so much; if Mike McGlynn didn't detest free speech, if Mark Rumley ignored the mayor and actually got the votes in December of 2008 to keep his promise that we would have an election for a new TV station in January of 2009, access would be flourishing.
But Mark Rumley has caved in...twice now. Rumley allowed the fraud board of TV3 - which the solicitor was a member of - to steamroll over the ratepayers (and Rumley) and - what did TV3 do? They used about 100k of cable TV subscriber monies to sue people.
When we finally shut down Medford Community Cablevision, Inc. Mark Rumley made another promise in 2014. Rumley promised to give us the financial records.
Rumley failed to give us an election that he had promised us.
Rumley failed to give us the financial records of MCC TV3.
Rumley is downright rude and petulant when it comes to handing over public records. He charged me $2.00 for one piece of paper this week, the schoolyard bully, the juvenile sophomore shooting spitballs at someone he is OBLIGATED to be forthright with.
One citizen in this city has more experience, more years behind the camera, in front of the camera, promoting cable TV and radio - terrestrial and online radio - and has posted materials on Made in Medford, only to find city hall interfering in our free speech rights.
Where is our access TV station, Louise? Why do people with qualifications take a back seat to the Mayor's son's girlfriend or Paul Camuso's wife or Stephanie Muccini-Burke's vulgar husband's co-worker?
DO you see a pattern of cronyism and possible malfeasance in regards to public access television and a clueless mayor, out of her depth, denying citizens services that they pay for, and now ripping off senior citizens with the ploy to charge them $25.00
for a service she offered for free on the campaign trail.
You are a lawyer - can we impeach Stephanie Burke, have a recall vote, or even better, get her indicted for her failure to offer access TV, though she takes our monies for those services. Services Stephanie Muccini-Burke willfully and maliciously denies the citizens of Medford. "Oh, it's coming in October" - we've heard that before. Fool me once, shame on you...
