Dear MBTA Law Department, Police Chief and General Manager

Candidate Adam Knight's campaign used the MBTA bus stop on Route 60 in Medford to prop up his campaign signs
There are a plethora of alleged violations by Mr. Knight over the years, so this is not a first-time incident. Mr. Knight walks out on citizens when they are speaking, voted for his own pay raise, and is a general nuisance at the city council (just look at his voting record.)

Mr. Knight is aligned with former mayor Michael J. McGlynn.  Prior Deputy General Manager and CFO at MBTA
Jonathan R. Davis is married to McGlynn's sister, Bernadette McGlynn Davis, so let's be very clear that there should be no intervention on the INCESSANT wrongful conduct of Mr. Knight's campaign.
At 10:54 am I saw these signs from the Adam Knight campaign propped up on a Bus Stop.  Along with being a public safety hazard for transit riders who PAY for a service, Knight's alleged history of ignoring the law, voting for his own pay raise (allegedly 3 weeks in on his first time on the council) and harassment of local residents (just about every time I speak at the council Mr. Knight  gets up and walks out of the auditorium, which is better than the harassment former council candidate Jeanne Martin faced when Knight shuffles papers and is obnoxious while she is speaking)

At 10:57pm, after I took photographs, the Knight campaign worker put the signs on private property on Route 60, Salem St.

Just because Mayor McGlynn's brother-in-law was a powerful man at the MBTA is no reason for a McGlynn sycophant like Adam Knight to get away with using MBTA property to campaign for himself.  It looks like the MBTA is endorsing a candidate and that is just so very wrong.

Adam Knight should be arrested and brought in for questioning.  This is yet another ugly campaign violation - there are many more alleged transgressions by Knight when it comes to elections.

Trespassing on MBTA Property

It is against the law to trespass on MBTA property. This includes buildings, vehicles, trolleys, boats, and property owned by the MBTA.
Failure to adhere to “No Trespassing” or “Restricted Area” area signs may result in a fine or arrest. If a Transit Police Officer requests that you leave an area and you fail to comply, or if you return later, you may be arrested.

I demand a response.  This is an election year and the mayor has refused to allow candidates to go on the public access channel prior to an election. We are being cheated in Medford.  I demand an answer that is satisfactory.

Thank you.

Sincerely,

Joe Viglione
