City Council tonight - the discussion of the Chapter 74 Violation of the Open Meeting Law had Roy E. Belson and Mark E. Rumley seething. Belson shrugged it off as an hoenst mistake. Really?
These professionals have been in power a LONG time, it was planned to keep the public away from public access. I gave the example of Mayor McGlynn building the access facility at the high school behind the backs of his Tribunal - Allison Goldsberry, Rev Chip Hines and Fred Laskey - that's how McGlynn and Muccini-Burke do things.
Mr. Rumley or Belson saying "This was not something clandestine like James Bond." Oh yes it was... I noted that it is the RULE not the exception when people aren't filing certificates for open meeting materials on time. Madame Knight did her usual "Point of Interruption" and said "You know more about the law than Mr. Rumley?" - my response was "I know more about producer agreements at Access TV than Mr. Rumley, I've been in access since you were born. Some respect for your elders."
Caraviello slammed gavel "Have respect for a councilor" - I replied "When he has respect for his elders." Watch the tape to get the pure essence of the debacle by these foolish city officials.
