Description of Alleged Violation
On 2/6/18 city councilor Adam Knight left council chambers while the council was in session,. to have a secret meeting with individuals involved with Municipal aggregation. 3 hours and 12 seconds into the meeting when I asked Knight what he meant in his secret session saying: "We Can Always Rescind The Vote Anyway So It's Not A Big Deal" the councilor shockingly responded: "I Don't know what he's talking about. " See video, Exhibit A https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=24Iq4mpzUWI&t=11032s
Council Vice President Frederick N. Dello Russo, Jr. then tried to shut down my discussion of aggregation saying that I was off topic (?) and that he didn't want to hear "hearsay," which is typical censorship with malarkey, no other word for it, by the deceptive councilors who do this frequently, enabled by a city solicitor who endorses restrictions on free speech.
Adam Knight should have had his secret meeting in public, at the council, as the council was in session. Knight was not forthright about the content of that meeting, outside of the city council cameras, lied to the citizens about what he said, with the council vice president illegally shutting down a discussion to protect his colleagues alleged deceptive practices. Attorney General Maura Healey states on the OML site: "Every resident of Massachusetts should be able to access and understand the reasoning behind the government policy decisions that affect our lives. My office is working to achieve that goal through fair and consistent enforcement of the Open Meeting Law, along with robust educational outreach about the law's requirements." The persistent wrongful conduct of Knight and Dello Russo is designed to make residents unable to access and understand policy decisions that affect our lives.
What Action do you want the public body to take:
Rescind the vote for Municipal aggregation due to Knight and Dello Russo's failure to be transparent. Have community outreach and multiple hearings on the issue to educate on aggregation and have a second council vote. Sanction Dello Russo and Knight for frequent abuse of the citizens designed to deny free speech and transparancy.
