MAYOR STEPHANIE M. BURKE ANNOUNCES PRESS CONFERENCE
For Immediate Release Press Contact: Lauren Feltch, lfeltch@medford-ma.gov; 781-393-2405 Wednesday, February 21, 2018
MEDFORD INFORMATION CENTRAL EDITOR JOE VIGLIONE
RESPONDS IN CAPS AND BOLD TYPE:
MEDFORD: The series of events that have arisen since the discovery of a magazine clip at the McGlynn Elementary and Middle School on December 29, 2017, including the clear failure to promptly report this discovery are equally horrifying and concerning.
MRS. BURKE'S LACK OF QUALIFICATIONS SPAWNED THE ALLEGED MALFEASANCE THAT LED TO THE 'HORRIFYING AND CONCERNING' INCIDENT. SHE HAS LEFT A DEVIOUS POLICE CHIEF, LEO A. SACCO, INSTALLED WHERE SACCO TREATS WAYWARD COPS LIKE THEY ARE HIS OWN 'FAMILY' - AND WE ALL KNOW HOW LEO'S SON, JOE SACCO OF THE MBTA, DID NOT GET A BREATHALYZER IN JANUARY OF 2017 WHEN HE WAS PULLED OVER, NO FIELD SOBRIETY TEST, THEY JUST TOOK HIS KEYS, HIS TRUCK AND HIS GUN - THAT WORD AGAIN - AND JOE SACCO ALLEGEDLY 'GOT AWAY WITH IT."
THAT ISN'T THE EXCEPTION, THAT'S HOW LEO SACCO CONDUCTS HIMSELF IN THE LAND OF 'THE COPS ARE ROBBERS' GERRY CLEMENTE FEBRUAY 2016 THERE WAS THE FALSE BOMB THREAT FIASCO ON SACCO AND BELSON'S RESPECTIVE WATCHES, THEY SAID THEY'D GET IT RIGHT 'NEXT TIME' ...WELL, NEXT TIME IS NOW, AND THEY DIDN'T GET IT RIGHT THIS TIME EITHER. FIRE THEM. NOW. AND IMPEACH MRS. BURKE.
As Mayor of the City it is my job to address this matter deliberately and comprehensively. The paramount task of every Mayor is to protect all residents and first among them are our children. In this effort, there is no room for error.
To that end, I will have a press conference tomorrow at 12 p.m. in Room 202, Medford City Hall 85 George P. Hassett Drive, Medford, MA., to describe the steps that have and will be implemented to ascertain what occurred and to ensure, that every child, teacher and employee will enter a safe educational environment on Monday, February 26, 2018. Nothing else will suffice.
