Mayor Stephanie M Burke is doing a great job chairing the school committee and she does not deserve the slanderous characterizations that typify your mean spirited posts. She will make many positive contributions to our community during her time as Mayor (So that's why WRKO's Kuhner broadcast to the listeners across Massachusetts that Mrs. Burke is a "charlatan!" )
Jenna Tarabelsi will face trial in August. If you read the transcript article properly,any rumors about her conduct were heard well after she was not re-hired. all her application materials were clean before she was hired. (Tarabelsi was allegedly a political hire from Arlington Catholic High, a school attended by yours truly and Mayor McGlynn back in the day. The new development of a multi-media educational and community access station will be a great boon to our students and the community at large. Your aspirations are only self serving and a distraction to real progress. (They ripped off my hard work and honest efforts shutting down Medford Community Cablevision, Inc., the mayor absconding with public access to pay for government and educational monies they allegedly misappropriated to pay three high school teachers - Dunphy, Goldsberry and Jack Dempsey; I do not believe those three salaries are covered by the "home rule petition" whereby they take the other SIXTY PERCENT of access monies, leaving only 20% of the million or so dollars a year for the public, and they now take ALL of that too, asking a CORI CHECK of candidates who may want to do access TV so Burke can pry into the private lives of her competition. As Martha Coakley said to me at Dempsey's "I've heard about that." Yeah, Martha, you did, but you did nothing about it! - JV)
You were given a full opportunity to speak at last night's school committee meeting. Despite your continuous insulting commentaries, you were treated with respect as a citizen. (I can still hear Mayor Burke's gavel slamming in my ear when I was scheduled to speak 10-16-17 but she didn't want to hear about Paul Donato's sex stunt the day before at the private access station, where Donato had access to Michael Marks' private parts in front of two young children (about 9 and 10 years of age,) and a student running the camera)

Marian, Maura, Muccini and Martha, LLC are too busy scurrying to hide these messes than to protect the citizens they took an oath of office to defend. Marian and her gang let a vicious Ed Finn physically and verbally assault a senior homosexual reporter in June of 2015 to mess with the election, and then they took that senior minority reporter into criminal court on phony charges to cover-up the felonious assault. But the assault that the police falsely claimed never happened they admitted to when they filed phony charges of "witness intimidation," because you can't have a witness without Ed Finn's felonious crime. Think about it. That's the flower of Medford corruption, stuff that makes master criminal ex police officer Gerry Clemente look like a boy scout.

Mr. Belson has continuously, year after year ignored parents and has tried to make things "disappear" and pretend it never happened.

When my son was bullied last spring- and the video went viral, there were meetings, phone calls, etc.
In fact Brendan Gunnoe from WHDH was on his way down but I told him never mind, I would try to handle it from here.

My son was home schooled with a wonderful teacher. I was in the middle of looking for a new pvt placement for him. The thought came since we lived right behind the McGlynn middle school--why not have him - in the interim go over there..at least he will be with other kids. My son has autism. The "Team" agreed to this. They went over and he got to integrate at lunch. Then "the team" said, lets try to have him go into one or some of the classes with the kids! It was fine until some teacher over there "complained" about my son and his teacher being in the class. Amazing huh!?
The next thing you know (I'm going back 8 years here and I NEVER forgot this): I get a call directly from Jake Edwards telling me that my son is "not allowed into the other classrooms".
I said : "really? and who are you to make this decision?"
He replied: "I did. This is my school and I'm in charge!"
Me: Um excuuuse me, but this is NOT YOUR school, it belongs to the community and I'm a taxpayer; besides YOUR vote doesn't count. YOU are NOT part of "the team". In fact, I don't ever remember you being at a "team meeting" for my son. I'm making a call and we will see about this since he wanted to violate my son's civil rights AND DENY HIM INCLUSION. It's against the law".
THAT"S Jake Edwards for you and I don't have any problem sharing this because quite frankly, it's too disgusting to even try to make up.
I tried to get on the "committee to elect the new superintendent" but of course I knew that wouldn't happen since I didn't support this current administration. In Fact, Not only am I qualified, but I would guarantee my life that I would have absolutely brought questions to the candidates that NO ONE ELSE would have thought of. FACT.
Mr. Belson needs to resign. THE PEOPLE HAVE SPOKEN AND THIS ADMINISTRATION CONTINUES TO IGNORE THE PEOPLE.

I hope you all don’t fall for his fake performance of accountability or his cohort the mayors attempts to play dumb (and after watching the 5 hours of tape last night it sounds like you are all on to him). This is why i commented on him last year in that having a superintendent of his age is not good for any city. I know that I’ve moved on from Medford but in my years of dealing with Roy Belson I have a right for my two cents. This man is arrogant. No two ways about it. He took a “beating” last night and it was deserved. He could have saved the entire thing by resigning. I’m sure he didn’t related to his pending retirement and payoff.
What some younger families may not remember is there was a woman on the school committee named Lena Digiantomasso. She stood up Year after and year and tried to get Mcglynn and the other members to recognize this man’s inability to lead and his arrogance and not communicating with the parents. No one wanted to hear her. In fact, i believe i even remember a time when Mrs Vandekloot came to his rescue much like last night. This is what happens when you have complacency in your political system. Breanna Lungo-Koehn made a heroic attempt to bring Accountability to the hearing last night. This is a woman who should be highly considered for mayor of your city. She gets it. From day 1 she gets it. She has fault the “boys club” and is a shining star today.

Probably from the screening of the student movie where I discovered that the mayor and Belson had a phony Chapter 74 board which Joe Viglione reported for violating the Open Meeting Law.
Viglione was victorious in exposing Burke and Belson deceiving the public again!
