RE: Oath of Office, Teresa Walsh payments
Dear Attorney Scanlon:
This is a request under the Massachusetts Public Records Law (M. G. L. Chapter 66, Section 10). I am requesting that I be provided a copy of the following records:
1)The document (or direction to a link on a city web page) containing the oath of office for:
a)the city clerk
b)the city solicitor
c)the mayor
d)the members of the city council
e)the members of the school committee
2)The document(s) containing all the monies former chief of staff Teresa Walsh was paid by the city of Medford, including any fees in addition to her salary:
a)total salary paid
b)any buy-out or other payments
c)any expenses or additional monies paid to Ms. Walsh
I recognize that you may charge reasonable costs for copies, as well as for personnel time needed to comply with this request, however, as a member of the media having been published in the Medford Transcript, Medford Daily Mercury, Inside Medford and my own Medford Information Central (a registered business in the city of Medford) I request any such fees be waived as these are matters of vital public interest
The Public Records Law requires you to provide me with a written response within 10 business days. If you cannot comply with my request, you are statutorily required to provide an explanation in writing.
