The Patch on the GUN/BULLETS MCGLYNN

"This has been a damaging night for the Administration, the Superintendent/School Department and the Medford Police"
Johnny Byers

"The mayor now has to either cut bait or step away herself" Johnny Byers

"The longer the chief and the superintendent stay in office, the media spotlight is going to be even harder to take. I, myself, will be watching this story, if it's not getting enough media coverage, I will be on my phone to get the coverage...this is too big a story after what happened in Florida"  Johnny Byers 11:36 pm via phone

MEDFORD, MA – The Superintendent of Medford Schools said Tuesday night he was wrong to not report a gun magazine found at a school in December. The magazine was only recently reported to police, according to a Boston 25 investigative report. Officers searched the campus of McGlynn Elementary and Middle School Tuesday after learning of the discovery, which happened Dec. 29 during holiday break.
In a statement Tuesday, Medford Superintendent Roy Belson said a cleaning company found the magazine under a seat in the school theater. It was turned over to the school custodian, who locked it in the principal's office.
