By Joe Viglione

Medford city government is supposed to work for the people.

    It doesn't.

My name is Joe Viglione.   It's been an honor to be publicist to some of my favorite artists and musicians.  Alvin Lee of Ten Years After released "Real Life Blues" featuring Jon Lord of the band Deep Purple and George Harrison of the Beatles. Maureen Tucker of the Velvet Underground, Spanky & Our Gang (Sunday Will Never Be the Same)  Mick Taylor of The Rolling Stones and Bob Dylan, Bobby "Sunny" Hebb, Ian "Brother Louie" Lloyd and Stories and so many more,  and to also have represented the very famous producers and engineers who have worked with these legends, many of them.

Through a friendship with two other famous musicians, George Harrison corresponded with me personally before his passing.

"Making it," in life, is achieving one's goals.  People make the mistake of putting a monetary value on "making it," but people, as you know, are interesting with thoughts in flux every moment of every hour of every day in this universe.

     Everything is constantly changing.

     HIGH STANDARDS

Let's cut to the chase.  City Hall Medford allowed the perpetually dissolving Medford Community Cablevision, Inc. to use about one hundred thousand dollars to litigate against two of the most prolific producers in the city, the late Pasqual J. "Pat" Fiorello and Joseph A. Viglione.

Most people would be crushed and, financially, my life savings went into doing the right thing and fighting - and beating - Medford Community Cablevision, Inc. and its fraudulent board of directors with their phony elections, phony board meetings, corrupt practices and censorship policies.

Judge Sabita Singh found that they had violated the Anti-SLAPP statute of the Commonwealth and Judge Lamothe out of Peabody, at first telling me in Somerville District Court that he was leaning towards voting for TV3 (and allegedly, court clerk Maggie Weeks, who kept our hearing until the end of the day...when the courtroom is usually empty, allegedly had a bias against me...) well, I explained to Judge LaMothe how they had violated the rules and the judge called me "very logical" and asked if he could look at the law that I cited.  I told the judge to take "all the time" that he needed.

I changed a judge's mind in oral argument, no doubt a reason why the absent David P. Skerry noted to a judge that I have vast "courtroom experience."

Yes, but being a paralegal was enough for me. Being a lawyer - even a music lawyer - just not my thing where my critically acclaimed stage performances, and I certainly know my way around a stage, are more important to my life.

I am, finally, putting a "live album" together, something that I should have done years ago, and the results are quite satisfying looking back at my younger self and how crawling through ceilings and bouncing off tables entertained critics and club goers alike.

This version of "Foggy Notion," an unreleased now-classic Velvet Underground song, was recorded by the famous Starfleet that taped many concerts by some of the biggest stars on the planet.  https://soundcloud.com/joe-viglione/joe-viglione-foggy-notion-live-at-the-club-in-cambridge

The interesting thing is that the recorded chaos was the ultimate, wish we did this song for the entire set.  The energy, the passion, the rock-and-roll-ism drenched throughout this recording said it all.  It still says it all.  Now you know why Playboy listed us as one of Boston's Five Best Bands back in the day.   That we have such a variety of different recordings of different songs is making the development of the double live album such a delight.

From the 1978 "Foggy Notion" to our September 30, 2017 rendition of the 1978 song, Rondey Rush, by our dearly departed friend Richard Nolan (he embalmed Archbishop Cardinal Cushing and my late guitarist Francis "Fudge" Keegan, who died with our third album cassette in his top pocket in a horrible crash on the Mass. Turnpike ...he had been interviewed on WBRS Brandeis the night before or so...) well, Rondey Rush was a big song on the Live at the Rat album about an S & M freak  https://soundcloud.com/joe-viglione/rondey-rush-love-and-flame-at-the-c-note-on-93017   "He's into heavy fun/being master's his game...he has a Rex original hanging in his cell..."    39 years later we performed the tune with a powerful band that included Richard's band members and my bandmates, two being from the 1978 recording of "Foggy Notion"...go figure, 39 years later...

Medford is deprived of my skills due to the jealousy and anger of Medford city government officials.   They are your garden variety mini-megalomaniacs who  have the lowest of standards for themselves and the highest of standards for you.

The wife of a TV3 board member, Doria Pizzotti Alberg, did make some complimentary comment "He knows how to put a sentence together" (paraphrased,) while the city solicitor, Mark E. Rumley, denigrates me every chance that he gets, and is hell-bent on destroying me.

Never have I ever witnessed a city lawyer so obsessed and full of rage and hatred, but Mr. Rumley, who first met me when I complained about TV3 on behalf of myself, other members, and former employee Von Rommel Fernandes, that alleged that they called him the "fucking immigrant," well...Rumley first met me in early 2003 and all these years later I am living proof that Rumley hasn't done a damn thing for the First Amendment in Medford, hasn't done anything of significance for the 60,000 or so residents - though in his own deluded brain he thinks that he has - and, this is extremely important, that Rumley is in such a position of authority - more powerful than the mayor herself, get that straight - that Rumley is in such a big seat of power and has such low standards for himself, means that the most dangerous man in Medford is - forget McGlynn and Johnny Granara and his brother-in-law lawyer - as powerful as McGlynn is, Rumley knows where the bodies are buried and is in a position to "wag the dog."

Rumley IS the most powerful and most dangerous individual in the city of Medford, and he abuses that power with impunity.

Sixteen years later, one quarter of my life, I have found that you cannot trust the city solicitor, and that he serves the city with the lowest of standards.

In order for Medford to survive Rumley must resign or be legally removed from office.   And that is my professional opinion.
LOOK AT RUMLEY'S BLATANT ATTACK ON MY WRITING SKILLS GOING TO THE TV3 CASE FILED BY DAWN NATALIA THAT I HAD WON.

THE JUDGE HAD TO SAY THAT THIS MAD MAGAZINE OF MEDFORD POLITICS COULDN'T BE TAKEN SERIOUSLY BECAUSE, I BELIEVE, THAT COURTS HAD HAD ENOUGH OF TV3'S MALICIOUS ABUSE OF PROCESS.

READ MY WRITINGS HERE AND TELL ME IF YOU THINK THE PUBLICATIONS ARE OF 'SUCH POOR QUALITY."

'YOU ARE ARTICULATE AND SMART'

BUT THAT A CITY LAWYER THROWS ROCKS FROM THE WITNESS STAND
WHILE THIS VICTIM GOT 3 MORE YEARS OF PROTECTION
SAYS ALL THAT YOU NEED TO KNOW

MARK E. RUMLEY IS A CLEAR AND PRESENT THREAT
TO PUBLIC SAFETY
AND HIS ACTIVITIES ON THE WITNESS STAND ARE
PRIMA FACIE EVIDENCE OF THAT

So now we have Chief of Police Jack Buckley.

Buckley comes from the regime of Leo A. Sacco, Jr., an individual with the folksy name of "Buddy" Sacco.

I liked "Buddy" Sacco.  Past tense.

I bought into Police Chief Sacco's bullshit.  But then you just can't ignore Channel 5 headlines like this:

Jan 23, 2017 - Sources told 5 Investigates the Transit Police officer, Joe Sacco, was allegedly drunkbehind the wheel. A Fallon ambulance crew spotted him ...

"Two hat Mark," the City Solicitor of Medford, is part of this
regime, but maybe Chief Buckley is a man with a plan?

Maybe Chief Buckley knows that being the police chief in name only, and being subservient to alleged crooks and monsters isn't what he wants for his life, as financially rewarding as it is.   Ask Sgt Schultz (played by the late actor John Banner from Hogan's Heroes,) and retired Det. McLean where that got them.    Financially well off and morally bankrupt.   The pain they caused me, and J.J. must know my pain very well, the pain that they caused me for being an artist and an articulate old homosexual who has endured harassment, defamation of character, verbal and physical assaults, and the loss of the person most dear to me, the pain that Medford has inflicted on me they inflict on you.

This isn't about me, dear Medford.  I'm a survivor and defined by a multitude of critics as a great stage personality /songwriter - this isn't about me...I can die tomorrow and still have left my mark as a published author (who else could note in a book out there worldwide that Vanilla Fudge was the pure inspiration for early Deep Purple...what you call trivia I call rock and roll history,) as a publicist, as a creative talent.

This is about YOU, dear Medford.

      This is about you.

They tried to make an example of me. They are obsessed with me.

They are very powerful and they are bullies of the highest magnitude.  You play ball with them or they will drag you down and work to upset your quality of life.

Michael J. McGlynn is the devil himself, with Stephanie Muccini-Burke and John Falco as his handmaidens.

Mark E. Rumley is the consigliere, and the gargoyles and ghouls - George "I'll punch your fucking kid in the mouth" Scarpelli, Fred "I like you better when you're dead" Dello Russo, Jr, Adam "Madame" Knight, Rick "the lying bastard" Caraviello, ugly is as ugly does.

Neil Osborne, Paul Donato, Michael Marks, a former city councilor who said hi to me around Christmastime (I'm not afraid of publishing his name, I'm just giving gagoots and eggs and zucchini the day off, his wife works for the mayor...) well, there you have it.  You can't go to them for help, you cannot trust any of them.  They are downright mean and evil and paint themselves as the opposite.

Chief Buckley can do the right thing and make some changes, or the same old same old will infect and infest the city of Medford until the municipality dies.  And that's exactly where it is going, to hell in a hand basket.

To be continued

Sunday Will Never Be the Same
I lost my Sunday song, he'll not be back again
I remember children, eating flocks of pigeons
(Spanky actually sings that line live for fun!)
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wqw1MGEHKNE

Love Spanky!  She's the best!
Love Ian, George, Bobby, Mick, Alvin ...I have had the good fortune to work with, and be respected by, some of the voices that are the immortal soundtrack of my life.

Jesus the Christ spelled it out for me...

To quote from the Bible, 'Now Jesus himself had pointed out that a prophet has no honour in his own country' (John 4:44). Christ also said 'no prophet is accepted inhis home town' (Luke 4:16-30), and 'Only in his home town and in his own house is a prophet without honour' (Matt.

Who are you going to listen to?

The Lord Jesus?

Or Medford City Hall reprobates...like a dirty ex police chief and a lawyer with unclean hands

That math is very easy to do...

And a certain city lawyer is just so obsessed and jealous because I am a much more fun creative writer than he could ever be...  eat crow you dirty bastard...
