RE: Resignation of Louise Miller

Regarding this Administration's losses of Teresa Walsh, Annie Sgroi, Karen Rose (May 6,) and now Louise Miller, the citizens are shocked and dismayed that Mrs. Burke does not seem to be able to get along with the staff that she hand-picked.

Rumor has it that now Louise Miller is leaving.  And all the rumors, thus far, have been spot on.

With this new bombshell, if true, it is obvious that Mrs. Muccini-Burke has done more to upset city hall since she's taken over than the entire 28 years of McGlynn

1)On January 6, 2016 Stephanie Muccini-Burke wrote a letter to the City Council - #16-022 requesting re: "Amendment to Article V "Finance" Division 2 - "Procurement" Section 2-931 entitled "Procurement Officers, Appointment, Term and Authority." requesting the city council create Chief Budget Officer and Chief Procurement Officer" - this six days into the Administration. - an Amendment to the Revised Ordinances of the City Of Medford.

2)Today, April 14th, is the 105th day of an Administration that is in tatters, with all sorts of bizarre facts and rumors regarding Muccini-Burke going wild and acting as if she has a mandate to do whatever she damn well pleases - from having a "golden boy" - Mike Nestor - allegedly getting paid both at the DPW and as a coach while purportedly being in a position at the union which could be a conflict... to Mrs. Burke polarizing those in her own inner circle, showering her pets on one hand while driving a wedge, allegedly, on the other.

That the Nestor story has legs on a news outlet over the past couple of weeks with thousands of hits for that one story is key as to the lack of transparency in the Muccini-Burke Administration.

3)On January 21, 2016 Muccini-Burke had (and still has) posted on the city website that she hired Teresa Walsh and Annie Sgroi.   On or about Feb 12th - within 22 days or a little over three weeks in the 5 month Administration, the Chief of Staff was gone, with the staff not knowing until this writer made the phone call at 1:07 pm on February 18th and Mrs. Burke alerting her staff at 2 PM, with the day late, dollar short Medford Transcript going on it at 2:58 pm.

This isn't the Mayor that everyone thinks she is.  You believe everything Nell Coakley is publishing about Muccini-Burke?  Haven't you learned yet that Escobar-Coakley is a shill for the new mayor just as she was for the previous one.

Boy did McGlynn sell the citizens a bill of goods when he humped for Mrs. Burke, only to get politically stabbed in the back by Muccini Burke the way that Brutus threw Julius Caesar overboard on the Ides of March.

This isn't the Mayor that everyone thinks she is.  And on the Ides of April it looks like Louise Miller is leaving Medford City Hall like the others in this new Administration, only 105 days old.

State  Rep Christine Barber said to me  "Let Muccini-Burke get her feet wet."

Chrstine, be careful what you wish for: Muccini-Burke appears to be the Captain of the Medford Titanic she's not only getting her feet wet, her knees wet that hairdo straight out of a Zsa Zsa Gabor science fiction movie (Ice) Queen of Outer Space completely soaked drowning in a mess of Mrs. Burke's own making.  Be careful, Ms. Barber, or Muccini-Burke could take you down with her.

Unfortunately, she's also getting the entire city wet/drenched as if she is driving the McGlynn Water Taxi straight into the perfect storm.  How much more can this city take of Muccini-Burke's inability to lead?

Let her get her feet wet?  She had about 5 years learning under master politician McGlynn and you want her to get her feet wet, State Rep Barber?   That's absurd and a strong argument about your character, Rep Barber, or lack thereof.  It smacks of political cronyism at its worst as Burke is doing a very bad job as mayor of Medford.

4)The person that I consider probably the City's BEST Department Head has now - rumor has it -  decided to leave

Louise Miller is a hard-working woman who appears to be one of the most honest people in this secretive Administration. Louise Miller is professional,  courteous and articulate.  This is someone that the city of Medford cannot afford to lose, especially given Muccini-Burke's record of hostility and vindictiveness, a competent employee leaving a totally incompetent woman, Muccini-Burke, who - incredibly - was in city hall for the past five years but clearly learned nothing under the master Medford politician, Michael J. McGlynn.

Love or hate McGlynn, there is no denying his talent and skills.  An imbecile would learn just from osmosis how to run a city being around someone, McGlynn, as proficient as he is devious, but it appears that Mrs. Burke only got the devious part.  Shame on her.

We have documented that Mrs. Burke did NOT receive 6,505 votes that went to her opponent.
This was no "mandate" for Burke but she acts like it is

Teresa Walsh gone on Feb  12

Annie Sgroi gone on or about April 1 - a woman very polite to me on the 15 minute or so phone call I had with her on February 18th

Karen Rose in May - a terrific worker and reportedly a good, all around person.

Who else is leaving?   After all the abuse a great lady like Anne Baker has taken, wouldn't surprise me if she's the next to resign.   Like Miller, Mrs. Baker does all the work, other people allegedly go to lunch leaving it all for Baker.  It  just isn't fair under Muccini-Burke, it is just not fair.

Annie Sgroi just picked up and left   For people to leave rather than their being fired, what does that tell you?  This isn't the Mayor that everyone thinks she is.  These are high paying jobs that people are walking from.

And for the outrageous firing and/or alleged "resignation" of Teresa Walsh this not-ready-for-prime-time mayor has "no comment." - No comment from Burke? No Comment??? Burke, paid by the citizens to be a public servant, gives no information to those citizens. Unfair and just plain wrong.

Brand new department heads don't seem to know what they are doing

Burke put out in the recent tax bill the CPA, but she forgot to notify the seniors that
March 31st was the deadline the exemption for seniors.  It forced the council to request a deadline because the mayor forgot to announce it, perhaps conveniently.  And do seniors have to give personal financial information?  Why are seniors even be charged this no matter what their income? Seniors should be exempt period!

SHE DOESN"T KNOW WHAT SHE'S DOING
SHE SHOULD GO BACK TO COUNTING BEANS

She's got Fred Dello Russo, Jr. and Adam Knight marching lockstep with her buffoonery, two individuals who are a drag on the city council with their bloated paychecks and their censorship tactics.  All to benefit their new master, Muccini-Burke.

Was it ok for Muccini-Burke to use Teresa Walsh or maybe misuse her during the campaign???...the very first comment on the first person leaving is NO COMMENT

Back to the Honorable Louise Miller, Esq: This is the same budget director who said to the city council she would not have presented the budget the same way that Muccini-Burke had presented it.  She would have been MORE IN TUNE with what the council wanted, including a WISH LIST of what the council wanted!

The city council refused to allow the citizens - on two occasions - to scrutinize the Muccini-Burke 28 member "transition team" led by, of all people, that reprobate Paul A. Camuso.  That was Muccini-Burke's choice to lead a transition team that immediately lost Teresa Walsh?

Has the work environment become so hostile that people are giving up high paying jobs to leave. Will it become so bad that people will be afraid to sit next to each other at city hall, of saying something that might go right back to madame mayor.  As Jeff Kuhner on WRKO said, "Medord's charlatan mayor."

On another matter Last night I spoke to the board of directors of the Medford Housing Authority.
That's another story to tell...all sorts of rumors about wild spending...when Barbara Vivian on the board of directors saw me she blurted out "the fix is in" - as that was a comment I made on Wednesday, April 13th.   Rumor has it - the allegation is - that the board wants a certain attorney employed at the housing authority because he will do their bidding, allegedly, of course.  Rumor, of course, but these rumors have all panned out, haven't they, thus far.  Haven't they?

More to come...the walls of Jericho are coming down around Mrs. Burke and it isn't pretty. Perhaps Burke should realize that she is in over her head and just resign.

Respectfully,
Joe Viglione
