First 98 Days at the Mayor's Front Office
Mayor Stephanie Muccini Burke has lost two key members of her 5 person Administration in less than 100 days with a key person at the board of health leaving on May 6th. It is stunning how poorly Mrs. Burke is staffing city hall. Do you think this happens at Woburn City Hall or Somerville City Hall or in Mayor Walsh's office in Boston?
One of our readers writes: ". I work at a ~500-employee company and people come and go all the time."
To that reader I say, Mayor McGlynn had Linda Coletti, Adeline DiPaola, Mary Merrill and Stephanie Burke along with Lauren DiLorenzo and Lisa Evangelista for years. Why, all of a sudden, is there pure chaos when Stephanie Burke takes over?
Our reader is resisting the logical conclusions to these questions:
1)The Chief of Staff is removed within 6 weeks and no one is told about it, not even the staff. Huge red flag when that Chief of Staff also worked the campaign with Mrs. Burke
2)Annie Sgroi - the woman who left the $888.00 a week job last week, didn't know how to respond when asked about chief of staff Teresa Walsh - she thought she was "coming in later" until I pointed out to a staff member that her own boss was gone. Does anyone really believe Ms. Walsh "resigned?" Rumor has it that Walsh's belongings were locked in her office and she was sent packing unceremoniously.
3)Why all white women when the mayor claims to be a "diversity" mayor?
4)What are the qualifications of these individuals?
---Lauren Feltch is allegedly the girlfriend of one of Mrs. Burke's sons. Did this job go out to bid? Was there a "worldwide search." It is called nepotism, as ugly as Mayor McGlynn hiring two of his three daughters to work at the "McGlynn School."
---Jeanine Camuso Paul Camuso was a terrible city councilor. Allegedly, he thought he would be mayor. Somehow McGlynn got him to work for Mrs. Burke. Burke owed Camuso big time, so his wife gets a huge salary, our money, and we have no right to ask about the nepotism going on in City Hall. Or as Johnny Byers dubbed it "Nephewtism" as Jeanine Camuso is the niece of disgraced former city council president Robert A. Maiocco who is also owed big time by Burke. She has incurred a lot of political debts
----Linda Coletti - a holdover from the McGlynn regime. Why not fresh new faces and a fresh start for the citizens?
--- Jennifer Dever-Wood - worked at Michael Sullivan's office in Middlesex Superior Court with Brian S. Burke, husband of Muccini-Burke Reportedly worked for the disgraced ex sheriff James V. DiPaola where Paul Camuso also works.
This is not diversity.
There are too many connections AND, with Muccini-Burke hand-picking her Administration and "transition team" - all in secret - to find two of them leaving within 98 days is absolutely stunning. It is pure incompetence.
Our reader puts out a theory of some fictional 500 plus for-profit corporation. This is city hall paid for by the citizens. It's a lot different and we expect public servants to be held to the highest of standards, not this foolishness displayed by an out-of-her-depth bean counter, Muccini-Burke, not ready for prime time, and giving us example after example why she is unfit for duty
