The magazine, which contained some ammunition, was not reported to the Police Department by the school district.
A gun magazine clip found at the McGlynn Middle and Elementary School auditorium on Dec. 28 was not reported to the police for several weeks, 25 Investigates reported today.
A member of the district’s cleaning service found the gun magazine containing an unspecified amount of ammunition under a seat at the back of the auditorium, according to Superintendent of Schools Roy Belson. It was then brought to McGlynn Middle School Principal Jake Edwards, who says he did not see it, Belson said.
