A response to our question about the First 100 Days in Office
"Let her (Stephanie Burke) get her feet wet"

Omg
joe, cut it out. 3 months thats all she has in to being mayor. She
has opened communication city wide, she is working on updating an
antiquated city hall, which apparently hasnt been caught up re:
computerization, or even voice mail. How about 311? If you are
determined to not allow her to do her job and not allow her to be
credited for what she has done so far, that is on you. Negativity does
no good. Just think of what she could do if she was supported by you
and your friends, as opposed to trying to undermine her. Joe i truly
wish you all the best. I have seen you on your show and enjoyed it,
this part i dont enjoy. This part of what you do, doesnt highlight the
truy good parts of joe.

Hi Two Sisters,
I'm glad you are happy with Mrs. Burke thus far - also that you've watched my show and have enjoyed it.
My
question was designed to be helpful after 100 days - whether it is Bob
Penta, Charlie Baker, or President Barack Obama (nice to see our
President getting positive poll numbers! He got my vote twice!) - every
100 days should be reviewed by the citizens. It helps make for good
government.
As
an optimist I am always hopeful city government will get it right. As a
music journalist when I scrutinize recordings it covers everything from
production to mastering to quality of the performance. Some view
criticism as constructive; some call it negative. When it comes to
government we all need to be watchful as we are all human, and that
includes public officials we rely upon to be our public servants.
That's what they are paid to be.
Interesting that if one is a "critic" they are called negative, despite being an optimistic person.
Guess it goes with the territory.
Guess it goes with the territory.
The public access station is set to open in September according to the Voke/Tech principal, and October according to Mrs. Burke speaking at the school committee March 28th. I also spoke on the issue.
My
goal is to see it open this summer so that we can discuss Election 2016
- the local and national aspects of it. I'm only trying to help.
Thank you for your response.

How Happy are you with Mrs. Burke?
670,400 @ 12:14 pm Sunday April 10
Today, April 10, 2016, is Day #101 of Stephanie Muccini-Burke in office as Mayor.
In the first 100 days the Chief of Staff,Teresa Walsh, resigned
Feb. 12 after only being announced on the city website on January 21.
In 23 days, less than a month the Chief of Staff was gone. I got
confirmation on this when I broke the story at 1:07 pm on February 18th
from Annie Sgroi.
