Matt Haberstroh, failed council candidate, gives outrageous hypocrisy on social media group
Have another drink, Matt!!!
Here's my response:
It is nice to see people discussing the issues.
Matt Haberstroh doesn't see the alignment of candidates paired with the current Administration (Mayoral appointed panel, political ward committee) but asks about political parties???
I respectfully told Rob Cappucci in his bids for city council and state rep that local elections are about empty storefronts, potholes, education, things that build a community.
Local elections should not be partisan; we are all neighbors. Going "national" with a political party affiliation will cause arguments...that "never discuss religion or politics" axiom all the proof you need.
It begs the question if a person takes such a position, are they or someone they are close to involved in a Mayoral appointment or a Democratic city or ward committee? Then the credibility of the statement would be in question.
(As in, is Haberstroh still dating someone that got a sweet job at the high school via the "powers that be" at City Hall???...just asking...)

As for voting Democrat or Republican, it is obvious that my position is progressive. Last local election I voted for all Republicans except for Pat Jehlen (sorry Robert!) Because local elections were about the candidates, not their political party. Clearly for national I want Hillary or Bernie and not Trump, and there's the difference and why local elections are not partisan, are not about the D or the R.

I see no opposition or concern for candidates who want to spend time on a Mayoral appointed panel or wants to get involved in their political ward committees.
I am curious though - does anyone have the definitive list of what parties the candidates, Mayor, CC and SC are affiliated with?
Your party in a lot of ways “frames” your view of government
and its involvement in everyday life. Shouldn’t we know this? But it is rarely
transparent in Medford. Of course what is?
