The Troll Poll: Have you received that phone call from the alleged pollster Connection Strategies based - purportedly - out of Somerville with the phone # 617 863 6053. It is a very biased "troll poll" where it claims to have negative and positive about "both" candidates, but actually praises Mrs. Burke and viciously attacks her opponent with untruths and misrepresentations about Council votes. When they get to the "negative" on Stephanie Burke, it isn't negative at all, but an opportunity for her to slam her opponent again. It is NOT a legitimate poll, it is an attack ad disguised as a poll. In July Mrs. Burke said this "(I am the) candidate that is respectful, informed and will always use a positive approach." But the opposite is true. Mr. Penta is polite while his signs are being torn down. It is just not good politics. A friend received a call from them on Thursday; today at 10:23 am a "Sarah" phoned me. She appeared to be a young person who said "I'm just reading the script" and clearly wasn't aware of Medford politics. Google that phone # and read the claims of abusive threats and such coming from it. Call the number and it goes to a Google voice mail. Not very professional. Who is this "Connection Strategies?" They ask questions about Mcglynn as well. I heard he's not running...maybe that was just a typo?
