Mike Ruggiero Campaigning at City Hall during Council Meeting

468,711 @ 10:51 pm

Who are you going to believe?  Michael C. Ruggiero or your own eyes?

"I was just giving the material to the members of the church" (on City Hall property; paraphrased quote from candidate Michael C. Ruggiero.)

HERE'S THE PUNCHLINE THAT RUGGIERO DIDN'T EVEN KNOW...

MOST OF THE CHURCH MEMBERS LIVE IN SOMERVILLE, CAMBRIDGE AND OTHER CITIES.

THEY CAN'T VOTE IN MEDFORD

SO RUGGIERO VIOLATED THE RULES TO REACH OUT TO PEOPLE PURPORTEDLY NOT REGISTERED TO VOTE IN MEDFORD

TALK ABOUT A POLITICAL NOVICE!

TALK ABOUT AN 11 MONTH OR SO RESIDENT OF MEDFORD, NOT EVEN KNOWING THAT THE PEOPLE HE'S REACHING OUT TO BY VIOLATING THE PROHIBITION ON POLITICAL MATERIAL, ARE MOSTLY NOT EVEN FROM MEDFORD!

  • Rumley’s opinion makes clear: “It is my opinion that political campaign activity in a public building is prohibited. My reasons are two-fold. First, such activity is prohibited by the provisions of G.L. C 55, Sec 13-17…Second, there are ethical considerations that arise under G.L. C 268A-Conduct of Public Officials.”

RUGGIERO ONLY REMOVED THE ADVERTISEMENTS WHEN HE FOUND THE EDITOR TELLING CITY COUNCIL ATTENDEES HOW WRONG IT WAS FOR A CANDIDATE TO HAVE LITERATURE AT CITY HALL

RUGGIERO WANTS TO BE ON THE CITY COUNCIL AND DOESN'T PLAY BY THE RULES.

HE'S BEEN CAUGHT PROMOTING ON OTHER PUBLIC PROPERTY AT 22 ALLSTON STREET

RUGGIERO IS DESPERATE TO GET PAID THIRTY THOUSAND DOLLARS A YEAR, BUT HE'S A JERK, AND HE DOESN'T PLAY BY THE RULES
