Rick Caraviello and Mark Rumley wouldn't accept my metallic David Bowie dog tag as a press pass at the city council.  HA HA...

"Joe, tell them who I used to be"

the late Medford resident Jimmy Miller,

producer of the Rolling Stones, George Clinton,
Motorhead, the Plasmatics, Eric Clapton, Steve Winwood

We got a stack of old photos last night from dear friend R.P.

History of my band and the Boston music scene documentary in the works!

BACK AT THE RATHSKELLAR, 9/11/73*

*yes, it is true, all those rumors of me climbing up to the ceiling at the Rat, Bunratty's, the Honey Lounge and some club across from the Pru on Boylston St.   I climbed through the ceilings and fell through and landed at Alden Chambers, Medford City Hall...has it really come down to this after all my stardom?

THIS WAS A TERRIFIC NIGHT - THE LEGENDARY
MARC THOR BENEFIT CONCERT AFTER MARK HAD TO HAVE NECK SURGERY

WE PERFORMED 'CIRCLING L.A.' BY MR. THOR, AND SHOULD BRING THAT FANTASTIC SONG BACK INTO THE SET.

YOU CAN GET THE PLAYBOY APRIL 1977 FOR ONLY
$9.99 ON EBAY

IT HAS MY BAND LISTED AS ONE OF THE
FIVE BEST IN BOSTON

MY 'SALT WATER SUMMERS' extended play 4 song disc was noted for being "The Best Record of the Month" in both Phonograph Record Magazine (PRM) and in Belgium's L'Attendant magazine.

Phonograph Record was an American monthly rock music magazine that operated between 1970 and 1978. It was founded in September 1970 in Los Angeles, California, by Marty Cerf, as a rival to Creem and Rolling Stone,[1] and funded by United Artists.[2] In addition to being a newsstand title, the magazine was available through radio stations throughout the United States[1] and distributed free to music retailers.[2] It was often referred to as PRM, due to the inclusion of the word "magazine" in the masthead.[2]

It led to my four album deal with the legendary French label where I became A & R and signed Johnny Thunders of the New York Dolls, produced by iconic record producer Jimmy Miller (Rolling Stones, Traffic, Eric Clapton, etc. etc.)    I brought the famous producer to Medford where he lived in the apartments at Wellington behind Kappy's and Breanna's office.

"New Changes," the title track of my fourth album, went to #1 on Radio Crystal in Europe!

There was also a nice article in the prestigious California underground mag BOMP!

!

Have to scan the Playboy article.  And the Creem article which had me on the same page with
THE WHO!     Creem and Rock Scene were the bibles of independent music back in the day along with Bomp    The profile on JV was before The Cars launched.

Have to find the aforementioned issue of CREEM MAGAZINE with the half a page of me and half a page with THE WHO

Not this Lou Reed issue, a different one!

We rocked the world back in the day ... and we built the "new wave" in this New England region!

Adam Knight* has expressed interest in my Playboy appearance, asking me questions at the city council.

*Knight probably wasn't even BORN in 1977...ha ha...

Adam, pick up a copy, it has a story on Gary Gilmore which we are sure you can relate to!

GARY GILMORE DONATED HIS EYES TO SCIENCE.

THE ADVERTS WROTE THE CLASSIC
LOOKING THROUGH GARY GILMORE'S EYES...

FRED DELLO RUSSO, JR. MAY HAVE HIJACKED GILMORE'S EYES AND HAD THEM INSTALLED IN HIS ROBOTIC FORM!

Getting into Playboy being a guy did have a psychological effect on me, so I had to have therapy sessions with Dr. Ruth...notice the press pass?  Adam Knight and Rick Caraviello tried to swipe it from me, but Chief Sacco put it in a secret place just to keep it safe! ...in his son's closet!  (the cute one! from the MBTA, not the one who looks like he's auditioning for the film biography of Mexican drug lord Pablo Escobar!)
