FROM BREANNA

Dear Team Medford,

The campaign for a change in City Hall is fully underway and I want to thank you for joining our team. Here is the first piece of literature that is being distributed now.

We've already attended almost 100 events in the 2 months since our Medford Square campaign announcement and over 225 donors have made financial contributions to allow us to share our message.

We're organizing volunteers to help spread the word. If you would like to volunteeron the campaign or make a donation, please sign up through our website
at Breanna4mayor.com.

Thank you to all those who have signed up, donated and spread the word. The fun is just starting.

All the best,

Breanna

CHARTER REVIEW

city_hall.jpgIt’s time to conduct a comprehensive review of our city charter - the document that defines the organization, powers, functions, and essential procedure of our city government.
Our last charter review was in 1986. Medford has changed dramatically in the last 30 years, and our city government needs to change with our city, and adapt to new realities.
Medford is home to some of the most talented people in Massachusetts, and a commission made up of stakeholders from all across our city can suggest changes to our charter that will make our city more responsive to the needs of all residents.
In 2016, Breanna was a leader on the City Council in the fight to pass a Home Rule Petition to establish a charter commission. Though it passed the city council, the measure was killed on Beacon Hill.
In any review of the charter, Breanna will fight to apply term limits to the office of Mayor. Like all executive positions, the job of Mayor comes with significant power, control of a large budget, and major responsibility. Breanna believes term limits should be set for the Chief executive Officer of this city.
