To the News Media:
Enclosed is a letter to Mitchell D. Chester, Commissioner of Elementary and Secondary Education
Mitchell D. Chester
Commissioner of Elementary and Secondary Education
Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education
75 Pleasant Street
Malden, MA 02148
Dear Mr. Chester:
I
was targeted by Roy Belson, the Superintendent of Medford Schools, Mark
E. Rumley - the City Solicitor of Medford, and allegedly Police Chief
Leo A. Sacco Jr. when, in my position of editing a popular Medford
website - will hit 620,000 page views today - and as a speaker at the
city council of Medford, I and others alerted the residents to the
unethical conduct of Belson, Rumley, Chief Sacco and others in allegedly
attempting to cover up a false bomb threat or threats and alleged sex
scandals at Medford High School.
The
Sec. of State's office is aware that I feel Rumley and Belson failed to
properly address a public records request on the bomb threat(s) and the
sex scandals that notoriously pop up at Medford High School, along with
the theft at the McGlynn school hushed up until after the Nov 3, 2015
election and the crazed woman who got on a school bus and allegedly
accosted or frightened a child. When they do let the news out, or
respond to a request, it isn't in a timely manner beneficial to the
parents, the students or the residents of Medford those alleged "public
servants" are supposed to be working for.
I read with great interest your quote from the November 20, 2013 WCVB website:
"It's very troubling," said Mitchell Chester, commissioner of
the Massachusetts department of elementary and secondary education. "We
have zero tolerance for that kind of behavior and we're very aggressive
in going after those individuals," said Chester.
Exhibit A: Former Medford
High School teacher Mark Smith lost his teaching license last year after
allegations surfaced he sexually abused a former female student. ..;. Records show Smith also lied on his renewal application in
1999 claiming he was never convicted of any crimes, even though he
pleaded guilty to assault and battery in 1983.
In the city of Medford there are hideous acts that are beyond "troubling,"
and where you have "zero tolerance," Mr. Chester, in Medford it is a
free for all of malfeasance, allegedly coddling offenders or allegedly
quietly removing them
Roy
Belson hired Heidi Riccio, a woman discarded from the Lawrence School
System for allegedly lying about a teacher of the year award. See
Exhibit B, below
On
June 21, 2012 the Medford Patch published: " A total of ten Medford
school teachers and administrators make up the
smallest class of retirees in over a decade, according to superintendent
Roy Belson." What that news outlet failed to mention is that one of
the teachers - Mark Smith (see Exhibit A, above) - was lumped in with
all of the teachers that didn't have a dark cloud over their head: "Mark Smith, Medford High School, 30 years" (see EXHIBIT C)
Exhibit B
Jul 18, 2013 - Heidi Riccio, the new director of Medford Vocational Technical High School. Heidi Riccio
lost her job as an administrator at Greater Lawrence Technical School
in June after an internal investigation found she had taken credit for a
national award she never won.
