If you go to the Clerk's Office and ask about a certain document, be it a meeting of the board of the Chevalier Theater or former Mayor McGlynn's public meetings the clerk grumbles to "look on the wall." For the amount of money paid the city clerk, citizens deserve better. John Falco's idea to put this information online is a step in the right direction, but the rookie city councilor is also the individual who attempted to shut down the citizens when they wanted to discuss false bomb threats at the "people's forum," the city council of Medford. Falco is already marching lockstep with those who want to censor us. That is a fact documented on the city council meeting DVD of 2-9-16. But keep this in mind: allegedly, the city of Medford refused to re-cablecast the 2-9-16 meeting on 2-11-16 and 2-12-16 (3 PM on Friday.) Instead they cablecast a rerun in order to stifle speech that Superintendent Roy Belson deemed unacceptable: free speech shut down in Medford. Do you trust John Falco ? Why?

As part of Falco’s
resolution, Councilor MADame Knight asked the city adjust the schedule for
board and commission meetings so all meetings occur outside of standard
business hours.
Knight also requested meetings be televised or streamed online whenever possible.
On
the day she took office Jan. 4, Mayor Stephanie Muccini Burke said she
was planning a redesign of the city’s website, which she said would
feature forms that businesses and residents could fill out, detailed
city maps and other features.
