Burke declined to comment
on the reason for Walsh’s resignation. As of Thursday afternoon, Burke
had not filled the vacancy left by Walsh.
“I am talking to different people,” Burke said.
Burke’s office sent an email to city employees at 2 p.m. today announcing Walsh’s resignation.
The
email, sent by mayor Executive Assistant Lauren Feltch, read:
“Please
be advised that Teresa Walsh has resigned from the Mayor’s Office
effective Friday, February 12th. If you have any questions please feel
free to contact our office.”
