After Councilor Paul A. Camuso left Alden Chambers this joke was told to the councilors remaining. The timing was perfect so the print edition won't have the full nuance of hearing it in person but here goes:
"Aunty Carol must be out of town. Paul keeps leaving the council seat to talk to Attorney Alan J. McDonald to get his Cliff Notes tonight!"

The remaining brother councilors burst out laughing at Camuso, not with him.
Camuso appeared to have gotten his marching orders on the Lawrence Memorial Hospital topic from Michael J. McGlynn, and that was given to me by a long-time politician not running this time around (No, not Robert A. Maiocco, don't be silly!) So Camuso started pontificating ...pushing his chest out with some holier-than-thou preaching that you won't get at the Immaculate Conception or McGlynn's old stomping grounds, St. Agnes, on any given Sunday.
So this writer went up to the podium and said "Interesting that the councilor speaking the loudest was disrespectful to Mr. Sack from Lawrence Memorial Hospital by walking out on October 8 at 7:35 pm and not coming back. (This is paraphrased mind you, watch the re-run of the council meeting to get the full impact of the statement.) How disrespectful to the citizens paying this council about $3,700.00 a week to operate.
Freddy Dello Russo Jr. and Paul A. Camuso must've thought it was Halloween because they gave us SNICKERS. NO, not the candy, a detestable arrogance that was unbecoming and a slap in the face to every single taxpayer in the city of Medford.
November 5th the Class Clowns of the Medford City Council, Paul A. Dello Russo, Jr. and Frederick N. Camuso should be given the boot...the Denver boot...and voted off of a council they have nothing but contempt for.
