PUBLIC ACCESS THE MAIN THEME ON THE LIPS OF THE CANDIDATES -
Editorial below.
CANDIDATES WERE OUT IN FULL FORCE,
NEIL OSBORNE and his campaign manager Jim Silva, George Scarpelli, David McKillop and many, many more. It was an entertaining event on September 13, 2015, 50 days out from the election.
Neil McSweeney at Community day. He and Penta have the most striking red, white and blue signs.

There were all sorts of creatures from the imagination, despite the drizzle and lack of sunshine, people were still having fun

That's play-doh in the yellow containers on the table.

Neil Osborne had index cards and pens on his table for questions for the candidate - Ask Neil was the invitation:
Dear Neil,
Why do we have potholes and no access TV?
is what I submitted. Campaign Manager Silva said "that's going around!" (the potholes and no access TV thing)

Chief Leo A. Sacco, Jr. himself was directing the officers at the entrance to Community Day.
There were a number of trucks there for visibility, and a rather good-looking fellow from the Sheriff's department so I asked him: "Are you arresting Paul Camuso today?"
He gave a funny comment back...don't remember it exactly...
Interesting that Camuso was missing in action, as was Madam Knight, Michael Ruggiero, Freddy Dello Russo Jr. and certainly no one from Medford Community Cablevision, Inc. which means, of course, that it was a good day!!!

PUBLIC ACCESS THE MAIN THEME ON THE LIPS OF THE CANDIDATES -
EDITORIAL BY JOE VIGLIONE
Preface: People have been asking for information on access TV, and what is vital here is that the misinformation being promoted on the web by the outside agitators from Medford Community Cablevision, Inc. be addressed upfront.
The #1 issue of concern during the campaign is that the new faces do not have the access TV platform to bring their issues directly to the homes of the citizens of Medford, even though the cable TV subscribers pay for a service. McGlynn's immoral and unethical denial of access TV is blowing back on his chosen candidate, Stephanie Muccini-Burke. Mrs. Burke's silence on this is as deafening as a volcanic blast. Why would Stephanie Burke ever want you to be informed about her qualifications (or lack thereof) and your right to that information? An honest candidate with integrity would be fighting hard for your right to hear from each and every candidate in your home, as thousands of people who tune in to the city council get to see their government in action.
It is being denied you, Medford residents, and that denial is by the man who hijacked the title of "issuing authority," Burke's true campaign manager, Michael J. McGlynn.
The candidates know first-hand how important access tv is. Now that they need it and don't have it, they all see the necessity for public access TV. As Doria Alberg, wife of TV3 "clerk" Harvey Alberg, Dr. Rabies - Arthur Alan Deluca, and others at the trying-to-dissolve 501c3 Medford Community Cablevision, Inc. are scribbling on the web "No one watches access tv anymore," their propaganda machine is intentionally incorrect and just that...propaganda. Improper-ganda is more like it. Their aim is to try to steer the conversation away from the Attorney General's alleged investigation regarding the finances and meeting minutes, that "law enforcement" is looking into the failed access TV station and the alleged improper use of equipment and possibly finances.
So with those who had a mandate to FACILITATE access TV making fools of themselves in public (see Exhibit A from Dr Rabies, below*) and doing the opposite, the candidates have finally gotten religion as they find themselves blocked, their free speech squelched by the McGlynn Administration, intentionally.
You see McGlynn has a proposal from a legitimate Medford company, Community Media Medford, and McGlynn has had that proposal since March 26th, when McGlynn demanded all proposals be in. Well he got the proposal that gave him the opportunity to have access TV up and running. McGlynn had no intentions of allowing ANYONE other than the city operate the new access TV channel, and not until the election was either over or almost over. So here we are 50 days out and no access TV, thanks to Stephanie Muccini Burke and Mike McGlynn.

* The public pays for it.
* The public wants it.
* The candidates feel lost without access TV that surrounding cities and towns enjoy
* McGlynn has always hated it.
* TV3 Medford Community Cablevision, Inc. yelling and screaming from the rooftops that "no one watches it" (well, people can't watch "it" with color bars after Ron DeLucia, Harvey Alberg, Art Deluca and Frank Pilleri were too stupid ...or playing stupid and being intentionally deceptive with our monies, and destroyed Channel 3 leaving citizens with those color bars) ...with TV3 being investigated by the office of the Attorney General and allegedly by Mark Rumley as well, you, dear citizen, have no way to evaluate the candidates.
It's called the McGlynn Media Blackout.
You have no access TV, and the city lawyer - with a straight face - lies directly to you, taking Rick Caraviello's Pinnochio nose and borrowing it in this shameful display:
“The one sentiment that I have heard that I take great exception to is that the city is trying to limit speech,” said Rumley. “The notion the city would censor or squelch free speech is baseless and as city solicitor I would find any such effort repugnant.”
City Solicitor Mark E. Rumley / Medford Daily Mercury on or about Nov. 16, 2008 (quoted from the 2nd Judge Jackson-Thompson hearing) saying: __________________________________________________
Then there's the imbecile himself, "Dr." Arthur Alan DeLuca-Rabies muttering this stupidity in public, enabled by Mayor McGlynn's accomplice, Nell Escobore-Coakley at the Medford Sanskrit:

Community access
DeLuca, who currently sits on the embattled community access station TV3’s Board of Directors, said if he is elected mayor, he will eliminate funding for public, education and governmental (PEG) access stations and instead steer those dollars to the city’s general budget.
“I would want to do away with PEG channels so the money can come to the city,” said DeLuca. “You could still use that money to fund education at the high school — teach them how to put video on the Internet. We’d be freeing up the money to do other things with it.”
With initiatives like the Comcast Project Open Voice program, DeLuca said PEG access could go the way of the Internet and free up some extra dollars for the city.
(As a board member of MCC TV3, even though that board allegedly was put together fraudulently when the "president' used false names, previous board members no longer on the board, to allegedly seize the reins of power, Deluca had an obligation to FACILITATE access, not say to the Medford Transcript that he, a board member, would do away with it as "Mayor." A complete conflict of interest, despite the fact that DeLuca's run for Mayor, without one signature of endorsement, was as fraudulent as his participation on a bogus board of directors.)

File under: There's something about that name, isn't there???
KNOW THIS, CITIZENS OF MEDFORD,
MICHAEL J. MCGLYNN SCREWS AROUND WITH A TOTAL MORON LIKE ARTHUR ALAN DELUCA.
THAT'S RIGHT, MCGLYNN USED DELUCA LIKE A DISHRAG IN THE 2013 ELECTION TO TRY TO DISTRACT FROM HIS THEN-OPPONENT'S CAMPAIGN, THAT OF ANTHONY D'ANTONIO.

OK, BACK TO THE EDITORIAL ON
COMMUNITY DAY
As The Who Blu-Ray plays in the bacground (double duty, writing a review while posting this information) - The Who Live at Shea Stadium 1982 to be exact (and it's a terrific concert, especially from a band that has lost my loyalty over the years, this is quite the breath of fresh air) with the Santana / McLaughlin double CD Live at Montreux 2011 and Hendrix Starting At Zero next up on the list, I took some time out from writing to go visit the Community Day over at the School-to-be-named-later-in-2016 off of Riverside Ave.
Rare Earth's "I Just Want to Celebrate" greeted people walking in when I did from the band performing in the middle of a field, and though there was cotton candy (who feeds THAT stuff to their kids nowadays?) and other festive delights - pizza, fried dough, the usual circus/parade type offerings - it was, clearly, more about the candidates running for office than the music and the food.
Ken Krause and the Chevalier Organ Society had a table, as did Alex Ruppenthal from the Medford Transcript, however it was the opportunity to speak to people who want to legislate and make decisions for our community, the candidates for elected office, that were the draw this close to November 3.
With 17 days left in September, 31 in October and 3 in November ...50 days prior to November 3, and with no access TV in our community, it is events like these that give the voter an opportunity to hear directly from those who want these positions of power, school committee, city council and mayor.
