Call for Frank Call to step down from Candidates Night

Dear Frank:

I am cc:ing Diane McLeod and Chief Sacco of the Humans Rights Commission as I believe a disabled man is being abused by his wife
and by the Mayor.

Carolyn Rosen was deceptive in how she conducted herself re: Candidate's Night, and last night Councilor Caraviello was eloquent
and honest that having a colleague from the Chamber ask him questions would not be appropriate.

My perception of you, Frank, is that you are a McGlynn supporter, so I do not feel comfortable with you on the panel at Candidate's night. Please don't take offense to this, it is just that for OBJECTIVITY there should be a real journalist, not typist Nick Iovino from the Transcript doing the Mayor's bidding and not some union person.

Here's what one candidate wrote today:

"Thanks to Opposition Leader, fellow Medford resident, who drove the Democrat City Committee Chairman to the point of absolute childishness and adolescent fervor of tawdry screaming and total bitter angst at last night's Medford City Council meeting."

Will Republican candidates (and most know I am a progressive, but
I am also a man who seeks fairness) will Republican candidates get
a fair shake?

We need term limits.  McGlynn is not helping this city.

But equally important: why do people get to physically assault me for exercising my First Amendment right.  It is not very democratic and at the very least I would like you to demand the removal of William Wood and Carolyn Rosen from this process. They have tainted the Candidates Night with their disorderly conduct and Carolyn's invective hurled at me from the podium.

If THAT is how our community is perceived - that yelling and screaming by a fellow who has a disability (Aphasia; shame on his wife and this Mayor for having a disabled man prone to outbursts being their point man; but they have an excuse when Wood takes a David Skerry-style nutty on people.   Skerry gets away with it; TV3 got away with it, and now will you allow the Mayor's cronies to use that incapacitated man in an unacceptable and fiendish way?

It isn't fair to the voters; it isn't fair to my poor, old, disabled pal, Dr. Wood.   It just isn't fair.  It is not fair to our community.  In the interest
of fairness, you need to demand respect, not divisiveness.

Hope Diane McLeod notes this formal complaint.

As a reasonable man, Mr. Call, I ask you to step down as being a panelist for conflict of interest, and ask that you formally file a complaint on Dr. Wood and his wife's conduct at the City Council last night.

Thank you.

Opposition Leader
P.S. Some of the candidates are in the BCC
