UPDATED: Former Burlington Housing Authority director arraigned this morning

Burlington resident and former Burlington Housing Authority director Maureen Lynch was arraigned this morning, Sept. 2, at Woburn Superior Court as a result of a July 30 Middlesex County Grand Jury indictment in connection with her alleged use of the housing authority’s credit card to pay for personal purchases.
Accompanied by her lawyer, David Yanetti, Lynch pleaded not guilty and was released on personal recognizance. The next court date is a pre-trial conference scheduled for Sept. 28.

Stanford said an interim director is in place, Paul Johnson, who has communicated to tenants that he will be working there for about 13 weeks, while a new permanent director is sought.
Lynch became executive director of the Burlington Housing Authority in July 2003 and her salary was in the $78,000 range.
The Burlington Housing Authority board is made up of five members: Burlington residents Michael Austin, Albert Fay, Bernice Ferguson, Richard Howard and John Langley Jr.
