 Federal Court throws out wrongful termination suit

Riccio's case closed last week, when Federal District Court Judge George O'Toole effectively dismissed Riccio's claims, including one for breach of contract in her termination with a summary judgment in favor of Greater Lawrence Tech on all claims.

The Eagle-Tribune reported in 2013 that Roy Belson, superintendent of Medford Public Schools, said the press release was a result of miscommunication and would not have acted as Greater Lawrence Tech did. 

He (Roy Belson) maintained Riccio was the most qualified applicant for the position.
