Braintree headmaster to sue for Malicious Prosecution



Timothy Connolly, a spokesman for Worcester County District Attorney Joseph D. Early Jr., said the charges were "dismissed without prejudice" which means they can be refiled.
Frances A. King, Bliss' lawyer, said her client is preparing legal action against the police who brought the charges.
"We're working on the complaint now," King said in a phone interview.
BRAINTREE – With criminal charges dismissed against the former head of a private high school for international students, his lawyer plans a civil suit against the police department that made the arrest.
In Worcester District Court on Tuesday, Judge Michael Allard-Madaus dismissed charges of offering to engage in a sex act for a fee and human trafficking against Steven Bliss, the former head of school at CATS Academy in Braintree. Bliss had been charged with soliciting sex from an undercover police officer on Sept. 5 at a McDonald's restaurant in Worcester.
