Jan 21, 2017 - MBTA police aren't releasing the officer's name at this time, but have taken possession of his firearm. ... off duty and in his personal vehicle, when an ambulance crew called state police and reported a possible drunken driver.Hey Mark Rumley, you were saying about bringing a water pistol to a war? What a hypocrite. Hey Mark Rumley - you gonna demand that they press charges and fully investigate? Or is it just another varsity coach incident gone bad?
Notice how Sacco's name is left out of this story and was released two days later: MBTA police aren't releasing the officer's name at this time, but have taken possession of his firearm.
“The officer has been placed on leave pending an investigation," MBTA police Superintendent Richard Sullivan told 5 Investigates. "It would be inappropriate for me to comment any further at this time."
Sources told 5 Investigates the officer was in Charlestown Friday night, off duty and in his personal vehicle, when an ambulance crew called state police and reported a possible drunken driver.
Sources said the officer was intoxicated and had his department-issued firearm with him.
State police did not arrest the officer, but Sources told 5 Investigates that state police contacted MBTA police about the incident. http://www.wcvb.com/article/5-investigates-mbta-police-officer-on-leave-after-alleged-drunken-driving-incident/8626468
